This release fixes multiple issues with Ren'Py 8.5.0 and Ren'Py 7.5.0, including one that prevented upgrading from Ren'Py 7.4 when Steam support was installed.

This release also includes a new Ukrainian translation of the launcher.

Glyph.split and ruby have been still not accessible.
I saved textsupport.pyx with a no change to update timestamps then use "python setup.py install" in ubuntu.
After this, they became to be accessible.

I've noticed with 8.0.1, that if a character onscreen is dissolved (using "with dissolve"), then the side image of the character that last spoke also dissolves

Never mind, I found solutions.

I've made the first prereleases of Ren'Py 8.0.2 and 7.5.2.

* Fixed some lesser-used steam methods.

* Various python 3 objects are printed better on the console.

I believe I've found a problem with aarch64.

I tried running the ARM Linux build of renpy. That works fine.
But if I build a game to distribute it appears to be missing one of the libs in the aarch64 directory.

To reproduce:
Fresh install of 8.0.1.
Build "The Tutorial" linux build.
Extract archive and run .sh file.
Error message: the_question-7.0-dists/the_question-7.0-linux/libs/py3-linux-aarch64/the_question not found

armv7l directory and x86_64 both have the_question compiled in the libs, but not aarch64.
I've tried this on 7.5.1, and also on the latest nightly of Renpy 8 just now. Same problem.

For reference, I'm testing this on an Ubuntu 22.04 VM running on an M1 Mac Mini.

Renpy 8 bug found

if you switch the language on the page with a choice, then the language of the buttons changes, and the text in the seybox remains in the previous language.

8.0.3.22090405 / 8.0.3.22090405)

The biggest change in this prerelease is new behavior for how timers and pause interact with modal. In this prerelease, timers will expire when behind a modal screen, while pauses will be blocked by it. (The idea is that timers in a screen are meant for the interface only - think the Notify window hiding itself - while pauses are meant for game flow.) The behavior can be customized by the modal property of timers and pause. If the property is true, modality is respected. If false, modality is ignored. Note that this is a change from the prior prerelease - I kept getting this wrong, so I flipped the sense.

There are also fixes to the Android 13 support.

The issue Andredron reported above regarding language changes not affecting dialogue-in-menus has been fixed.

There have been some documentation fixes.

* The version of the Google Play Billing library has been update to 5, which matches the current requirement for new games on the Google Play store.

* An issue where the blur shader could cause the image to go transparent has been fixed.
