[Solved]How to reset the Gamepad/Controller to default values? RenPy 7.4.11.2266

#1 Post by plastiekk » Fri Jul 29, 2022 8:28 am

Hi there,
the default settings of the RenPy gamepad did not work correctly, but it was a big mistake of me to try to calibrate it in the Help /Gamepad menu.
The Dpad worked before (left, right, up, down) and also some buttons, but after my new calibration it does not work at all! Even outside of a Renpy game hyperlinks in the Renpy - Launcher are switched wildly back and forth (as if you press the dpad). I have to deactivate/unplug the gamepad to stop RenPy from doing that.

The controller is recognized by RenPy as:
controller: '03000000632500007505000000000000' 'PC/PS3/Android' 1L

I tried to delete persistent datas even from the /user/Appdata/Raoming folder but as soon as I activate/plug in the controller Renpy keeps doing the above described behavior even in the Launcher.
Iam using windows 10.
How can you reset these settings to default?
I am grateful for any help!

EDIT:
The problem is fixed. I had been messing around with the d-pad settings the whole time, instead of using the X and Y axes. (Yep, that was stupid of me).
Why on earth did I put the bread in the fridge?
