Is there a way to make a build of a game that would support M1 Macs?

A few people asked me if I can do anything to make the game viable for their devices. Do I understand correctly that so far Ren'Py doesn't address these Macs? I assume it's somehow tied to a "64 bit version", as one player said it?
Tales From Windy Meadow - slice of life, pixel art Visual Novel set in a fantasy village. now available on Steam.

According to the July update on the Renpy Patreon, it seems Apple Silicon (ie. M1) support is one of the goals for Renpy 8.1 / 7.6, which is targeted for fall this year.
It also notes that Renpy games should currently work on M1 Macs by using Rosetta 2.
I don't know how that works though. I'm just repeating what's on the Patreon.
Finished games
-My games: Sickness, Wander No More, Max Massacre, Humanity Must Perish, Tomboys Need Love Too, Sable's Grimoire, My Heart Grows Fonder, Man And Elf, A Dragon's Treasure
-Commissions: No One But You, Written In The Sky, Diamond Rose, To Libertad, Catch Canvas, Love Ribbon, Happy Campers, Wolf Tails

Working on:
Sable's Grimoire 2
