Putting the game menu in the game itself? [SOLVED]

Like the title says, how do I put the game menu in the game itself, no need to press escape. If I don't make myself clear, here's an example: (a screenshot of Re:Alistair, taken without permission. ^^)

See the circles beside the dialogue? Clicking the biggest one will bring you to the stats page, the others are save, load, preferences and quit. How can I make mine like that?
