Anyone speak Indonesian?

#1 Post by PyTom »

Looks like someone has released a demo of a Shuffle! fan-game using Ren'Py:

Unfortunately, the game is in indonesian, so I don't totally know what's going on. (I'm not totally sure it's even a demo, rather than a short full game.)

Ren'Py world domination continues!

I'm just curious what they're saying about Ren'Py, and if the game is a demo or a complete game. I'd also like to remind them that shipping a game with game/saves/persistent is a bad thing, as it saves things like the sound volumes, and that they should upgrade to 5.4.1 or 5.4.2 when it comes out this weekend, as 5.4.0 has a problem with the text speed preference.

Maybe I'll just ask in English, as they seem to understand it reasonably well (if they can make a Ren'Py game, someone must understand the docs).

Oh, and how I found out... my spies are everywhere.

I will be glad to help. Here is the translation(Filtered as possible to English standard.):
Post 1:
I got this tool from a friend of mine. It is a tool which can make ren-ai game/visual novel with little effort ^^, as long as you know how to script a little.
Name of tool : Ren'Py
http://bishoujo.us/renpy/

This is one of the example gw made(In a night) ^^. It is short, but if able, it will be continued. ^^

Renpy

moonlight

Who knows the differences? Can Dandi explain?

I'm Indonesian, and I can tell you that the above translation is accurate.
Btw, that 'dandi' is a friend of mine.

I'll tell him about the save.

Okay I just forced my gf to play the game. =P
The game was very short less than 5 minutes of gameplay.
It's definately not finished and the author asked for help and tips in the beginning.
So far there is one choice about waking up and no endings.
2 choices ended quickly and one leaded to a what longer story.

About the story:
Well it's about a guy waking up from a nightmare about a girl, he talked about her a little bit and how he feels, tired and guilt, because he cheated on her. He feels guilty and made her cry.
The story ends then.
THe pictures are probably not original and there were monotonous backgrounds about skies. My gf who tested the game also said that the story and the structure was weird and she finds it very boring.

Boring... yes, true... even I think so ^^. Nope, the pictures are not original.

isn't that based on the anime shuffle?
How do you make your games? I see. Thank you for the prompt replies, but it is my considered opinion that you're doing it wrong inefficiently because I am a perfushenal professional. Do it my way this way and we can all ascend VN Nirvana together while allowing me to stroke my ego you will improve much faster. Also, please don't forget to thank me for this constructive critique or I will cry and bore you to death respond appropriately with a tl;dr rant discourse of epic adequately lengthy proportions. - Sarcasm Veiled in Euphemism: Secrets of Forum Civility by lordcloudx (Coming soon to an online ebook near you.)
