How to control dialogs speed some fast some slow?

#1 Post by James » Mon Feb 14, 2011 7:57 pm

Hey guys,

I found this command in cook book but it's not exactly what I was looking for since it controls all dialog speeds. I'm trying to get the dialogs so some words go faster and some words go slower. Could you guys help me with this?

For example I want the Blue to go faster then default, and red to go slower then default. Like the dialogs from Phoenix Wrght

Here's a short part from my project The Alumnus I want to change

Zack “Hey, could I sit here?”

“They all look like me with suspicious eyes, I guess nobody really sits with these guys.”

Hat boy “Sure... I guess.”

“As I sat down, all of them immediately put the game cards away and started to eat their lunch with usual interest.

Hat boy “........
Unpopular kid A “........
Unpopular kid B “........
Zack “........

M “SAY SOMETHING! Even I'm beginning to feel awkward, and I'm not even physically there!”

If you guys could help me thanks I'd really apprechiate it since a lot of my VN is dialog based.

Thanks in advance!

This isn't possible in the current Ren'Py.
