I wanted to know if like, say you recorded someone's voice for the character on the visual novel, how can you put the audio and the text to go at the same time?

It's quite easy actually, the only thing that makes it complicated is that you've got to have a file for each screen of dialog.

Here's a sample code; (Taken from the renpy tutorial.)

Code: Select all

voice "bob203.ogg"

bob "I love ice cream."

voice "nancy218.ogg"

nancy "I love ice cream too."

voice "bob204.ogg"

bob "I also like cookies."
I'm not quite sure if this is how it still works, things might be different with the newer versions of ren'py.
