I've seen magazine scans about Suikoden V. It looks like it'll be interesting.
I had heard about Suikoden Tactics. I think they should have focused on a new storie instead of making ST a Suikoden IV gaiden.

Yup or at least made the tactics based on suikoden 1 and 2 since they were almost at the same time and they were the best ones. "according to sells, reviews, and my own opinion"

Its called suikoden card stories and it is part of the suikoden 2 saga

also if you were wondering suikoden 5 is comming out 2/28/06
on the ps2 (and it has voices like suikoden 4 I really hope they let the main character have a voice...)

So suikoden has been a rpg, a card game, and a stratagy game...

I am still waiting for a suikoden first person shooter...

you forgot visual novel (the suikogaiden games).

Yes! We need a Suikoden FPS. Your character would be a member of the Howling Voice guild. Hell, it could even be clive. The plot could focus on the Elza side quest from S2.

SUIKODEN TACTIC SUCKS!!!

all they did was repeat the same characters, story line, and map from suikoden 4

And they used the skill upgrading system from suikoden 3

And lastly they did a very bad job at doing a tactics game...

I will only play it 3 or 4 times...

OMG TOPIC RESURRECTION TIME

I'm a 20 year old Chemical Engineering student at the University of Michigan(oh, the adventures I get into!). I'm a bit of an ethnic mutt, comprising of Spanish, Chinese, but mostly Filipino blood. I'm always up for new friendships and connections. I'm not so interested in a relationship, as my last break-up was pretty messy (but also in retrospect kind of hilarious); though I've always been a proponent of true love, so I'd probably be open to a new relationship if I felt a connection with a girl.

Favorite anime/manga: lol dunno, haven't watched anime in a while, so I'll say Spirited Away. But my favorite manga is Yotsuba&!, hands down.

Favorite games: Baldur's Gate II, most of the Harvest Moon games, Guitar Hero

I plan on going to Japan sometime soon not because of any entertainment/fiscal purposes, but to continue my training from the headmaster of my martial arts school.

Uh, I like classical and modern art. I mostly listen to indie music, and my favorite bands at the moment are the Arctic Monkeys, the White Stripes, Mogwai, Phantom Planet, the New Pornographers, and Bright Eyes. I play the guitar often, though not in a band, although I think I might form a new one soon. I'm often considered by my close friends to be a cynic, and I also like long walks on the beach.

Oh I guess I should introduce myself.

Actually a picture is worth many words (especially when the picture includes words):

Hello! New to the boards, thought I'd start here!

I'm a 21 (22 at the end of the month) year old guy based in the UK (In Reading, home of the festival!) and currently working in temp office positions while I sort something better out! Studied for many years in Music and Production, and currently saving to start my own business in that area!

I found this site through a link on the Megatokyo forums (Not a member there, just browing, I'm a serial lurker) and it seems like my kind of place, project wise! I have experimented with developing in Ren'py before and found it fun. Recently, I've been creating stories, and have just started writing for a webcomic a friend is taking care of, which is fun!

As far as influences, I like a lot of different styles. I like anime shows and games with atmosphere, and an edge to them. I'd say that my favourite things recently have been Death Note, Persona 3, Ouran High School Host Club (Just hilarious) and re-watching and reading James O'Barr's The Crow. Also, the film A Bitterweet Life and Perfect Blue.

Noticed some of you are talking about girlfriends - I got out of a big relationship a while back, and really not looking at the moment. Just enjoying having more free time to be creative.

And that's me! If anyone fancies a chat or a game on Xbox Live, just message me and we'll swap infos.

OK I'll give this a shot...

I'm 23 and finishing up my degree in East Asian Studies. I work part time as a Japanese teacher at a local high school. Do I love it? Depends which day of the week you ask! ;-)

My current favorite anime/manga are Monster, Yawara, Nana, Chrno Crusade, FMA, Slayers, and Death Note (yeah, I'm a sucker for most Shonen Jump stuff in general)

I'm really getting into visual novels (though I have yet to finish my own - my artwork sucks) - my current love is Ever17 with Higurashi no Naku Koro ni at a close second.

Outside of that, I love judo, capoeira, and any creative pursuit (writing, acting, etc) I can get my hands on.

I would love to chat with other anime/manga/game fans, as well as other VN designers, so please feel free to drop me a PM! ^^

TOPIC RESURRECTION TIME for the second time... (Jeez it's been a month since someone posted...)

I'm a 18 year old (turning 19 in a couple of months) British-born-Chinese male and will probably attend university towards the end of this year.. (Is it me, or are there a lot of older males posting on this topic? :?) I'm also somewhat short... (Is this a bad thing? I hope not...)

I like Anime and Manga, just as much as any self-proclaimed 'Otaku' does... Maybe not so extreme, but I would consider it to be an 'unhealthy' hobby...

Just to list how much I own on DVDs:
Gundam, ZoE, Escaflowne, RahXephon, Evangelion, Nadesico, Dai-Guard, Macross, Robotech, Transformers, Patlabor, GitS, Guyver, 3x3 Eyes, Crying Freeman, Fist of the North Star, Lucky Star, Azumanga Daioh, Excel Saga, Noir, Najica, Witch Hunter Robin, Jin-Roh, Tenchi Muyo, Hellsing, etc, etc... Plus normal DVDs, I'm a bit of a Asian horror fan...

As you can see, it's a huge collection... I have most series from Manga Entertainment and ADV films...
And as for the Manga books, well probably just as much, maybe more? Not only this, but American graphic novels, as well as normal literature. Hey, I sell books as part of a living...

Yes, I am a book seller, it's not a 'geeky' thing as some people would imagine, but it does take some thought and effort, either to remember names, find out titles, and sorting out piles of books, it's fun - especially when you get discount.

Games I like to play include Final Fantasy, Tales of Symphonia, Pokemon, Monster Hunter, Shmups and FPS games.

I also, like most others, have an interested in computing - both technical and physical aspects. I know to put a computer all together, and optimise the settings. I'm also beginning to start programming with Python, but only as a hobby.

Meh, I don't have many friends (otherwise I wouldn't be posting here) - basically I'm no good with people. So you can imagine how much trouble I'd have with a girlfriend.

Just talking would be fine to begin with.

EDIT: Changed my post to make myself look more... appealing...

Well if you went so far as to revive the topic I might as well keep the trend going, not that anyone really needs to know much about me XD

Well I'm an 18 year old male, names Bryan though I still prefer bloodywyvern or BW. I seem to be one of the few people who live in Connecticut for the U.S., I mean I hardly ever see anyone from the same state as me. I've been to the anime convention here last year, and plan to go again if my friend decides to drive. i was too lazy to pick what to do with my life right out of high school, so for now I'm still in that 'what do I do now...' phase. Either computer science or creative writing is most likely what I'll do (Not very original, but it's me).

I'm much less professional in my pursuits then everyone here, who seems to try to gear this towards a future. I just like to write, so I do. I don't think anything will come out of it really.

Friends: I have a few good ones who I get in touch with on occasion, but for the most part I'm a loner. While I don't care for a lot of people the real reason just tends to be no one nearby cares about anything I like to do, and they all love what I don't like to do (like parties and sports). Of course...that basically makes me an Otaku, add that to my FMA painting hanging in my room makes me understand why no one likes what I do here o.o.

Girlfriend: Never took the time to worry about girls through high school, just didn't care. I got through the day that's what mattered. Or maybe my laziness just applies to the idea of relationships being to high maintenance for my tastes. Personally I prefer the world of online relationships to at least get started...cuts out the physical pressures and confusions that is the dating scene. Unfortunately I'm single and very lonely right now, after a bad breakup...blah. Welp none of you want to hear about that.

I prefer RPG's in terms of games, and shoot for the Final Fantasy series mostly. Though the one that is my all time favorite is Suikoden (all of them). The one game that puts story above graphics, and will always have a place in my heart!

As for anime, I don't care for mainstream titles like Bleach or Naruto...hate them actually. I prefer the low key titles, or anything below 60 episodes. Once it's gone past that point I refuse to watch, no story needs that long to tell. Look at Mobile Suit Gundam Wing...in depth and powerful, but never crossing out of the 50's in terms of episodes. Though any anime descended from a visual novel I will watch.

Well that's it :D If you want to talk to me, I'm always avaliable (or mostly so). C ya!

Girlfriend : NONE, but I always wish I have one. Just never meet someone that make my heart go >BA-DUMP< yet. Oh and don't get me wrong, in my country, sex is only after marriage (and I also intend to do so)
