Advice on future career in Programing/User Interface Design

So I'm thinking about having my career eventually be in user face design/computer stuff. (I like/good with computers + I wanna major in sociology/psychology).

In a couple of weeks I'm going to be visiting my dad's work place (he's a Project Manager of something....idk he works with computers and coding and all that jazz), and I'm going to be meeting/seeing what some of his co-workers do (one of them is the lead for the interface of whatever my Dad is working on), and I get to ask them questions.

So I was wondering if anyone has any questions they wanted to ask, or questions they wanted to give me and I can post them afterwards. Words of advice of going into/majoring in any type of computer aspect would be much appreciated.
