That's likely due to old drivers - I'd suggest updating. That being said, this shouldn't crash Ren'Py, so there will be a fix in the next version.

I checked and couldn't find newer drivers. Notebook video cards are a pain when it comes to support

Well, you can make it work for now by holding down shift at startup, and choosing "Prefer Software Renderer". Then when 6.11.1 is out, you can go back by choosing "Automatically Choose".

Is there any other way to disable the OpenGL? it crashes even when I hold shift while using the Launch button

You can create a file named environment.txt in the same directory as renpy.exe, and put in it:

Another thing I forgot to report is that JCC images don't work correctly in screen mode. If I refer to "i_aaron" and it uses JCC "missing_image_callback" function, it looks for the normal .png file instead and doesn't work anymore :(
