Hi shirow,
your game looks really great and I'm really impressed with the effort that went into making the game multilingual.
But, as far as I can tell from the single screen, there are some significant problems with the German translation.
Just tidying the sentence up, without knowing the original text, I'll get the following sentence:
"Nachdem er weg war, bahnte ich mir einen Weg durch die überfüllten Korridore."
Some problems are just a matter of correct but inappropriate constructs, but there are some serious grammar mistakes as well.
While, again as far as I can tell without knowing the original text, the passages meaning can be understood just fine, the mistakes are just too grave to be ignored.

There's a good chance that the translation needn't be redone and can be expanded and refined by a native German speaker.
I'm sorry for criticising your work, without even playing it, but I feel like the whole effort that went into the translation is going to be wasted unless it is edited.

I think that all the translations were done by third party volunteers. If you have some spare time, you should join the team. ^o^

That aside, I'm already downloading the new demo. I'm looking forward to the updated version.

It could be useful, if you had the time, if you could point out the specific problems so that they could be tracked down easily. :)
I did that myself a few times for the English version, as I was translating the Italian version... which is still not finished...

The typing game is driving me nuts. One of the characters is unknown, and nothing I've tried comes up right... Unfortunately, it means that a pass on the minigame is more than a little difficult.

Also, somewhere in there, there seems to be a .ogg missing, I get a window after the third "miss" which then locks the game down until the timer runs out.

The game just kind of drops out after the Afureko challenge, but I have no idea if it's intentional or not. For as short as the game is, there's a lot of data here, and seemingly very little way to get to it. With the English text and speech, there seems to be a disconnect in a couple of spots(most noticeably in the Sparrow scene), and the speech is 1-2 screens retarded. There was another spot near the end, right before the challenge, but it caught up fairly quickly. Not sure how you get your Childhood friend's path. When the choice comes up, none of the choices quite seem right.

That's after just one playthrough, so maybe it'll come clear in time. I'll be very interested to see the final product. Let's just hope it's soon.

Wow! Beautiful artwork. Those are some of the best looking ladies I have seen in a VN.

Big download, though! I guess this is probably a result of voice acting, and multiple languages? Can't wait to check the game out.

It is windows only. It is the first two hours of the game. The full game is about 20 hours.

The voice over problem is known and has been brought to their attention. The English version typing game also has some bugs. It has been hard to address them because their programmer doesn't speak English.

Generally, shirow doesn't check the English sites. If you find a problem, email contact@zerozigen.us and I'll forward it to him.

I did the German translation (together with some others from my German Forum).

Yes there are still some mistakes in the German version (but actually the German screenshot happens to be one of the worst examples - so it's not as bad as the screenshot makes it appear). Also it's mostly because our translation got butchered a lot when it was put in the game (because guess what, the programmer not only doesn't speak English, he doesn't speak German either ). Of course there are also many typos that are totally my own fault and that haven't been corrected. We are working on fixing it. But it's progressing very slow as we are basically only two people working on the translation and we have no proofreaders or beta testers for the German version at all. Also the demo is only like 10% of the whole thing... so if we ever going to finish the German version or remove even the most basic typos, we need help *wink* *wink*

It would be great if any of you who speak German could pitch in and you are all welcome to help we can use any help we can get

I loved this sooo much. It was awesome. Every aspect of the prologue was freaking great. From the art to the voicing and how you implemented the mini games.
I did have some trouble with the typing game. Whenever I made a mistake, an error message would come up and I couldn't do anything anymore until the mini game was over. I can go back and show you the error message if you want.
So you're working on the full translation?
