World Domination, Fast! (The Map)

#1 Post by PyTom »

Since I was somewhat bored, I went ahead and created us a Frappr map.

http://www.frappr.com/lemmasoftforums

Frappr is a tool that allows the members of groups to plot their location on a google map. It also supports things like image sharing, but that's less interesting to me.

It should be safe to post here, as in the US it supports zipcode level resolution, while for the rest of the world it seems to be limited to major city. That's vague enough that I don't think they'll be anything to worry about, unless someone else on the forum has access to ICBMs.

(notices the word else...) o_o

Um... did I say I lived in Maine? Hahaha! No, you must have misheard. I said Spain. No, Bahrain. No, no, Ukraine. Yeah, that's it, Ukraine!

I'd place myself on the map, but then again both me and Beta tend to either A) not rest in a city at all but onbord a flying ship equipped with - you probably guessed it - better stealth than all the world's military put together can probably afford, or B) only stay one night.

I added myself. Now I'm off to set up traps for the assasins sent by people who are tired of waiting for me to get off my lazy ass and complete Dryad.

Added myself... and no, I don't live exactly at that town. =)

For those interested, we also have one for Manga Tutorial members. =)

Hmmmmm...OK if Frappr acknowledges a college town it *should* acknowledge any other town!

still not gonna add myself (see my previous post in this thread), but I would like to point out one small linking error (not saying wehcol, tihposuegh): "www.frappr" is not the same as "www.frappr.com". took me a couple tries in firefox to figure that one out, so will the nice lady responsible for the semi-faulty link please correct the link

[and for those who just want someone to blame it on, on some browsers, holding Ctrl and rolling the mousewheel up may reveal who goofed that one up.]

You do realize that it's actually fairly easy to tell where you are, through the wonders of geolocated IP addresses. That also tells me where to send the nice men with the white coats... I ask that you don't try to resist...

*laughs* you do realize that half the time I delete stuff off my computer to make space it's usually footage of various people wanting me for various reasons storming what my IP address claims to be my house and then left wondering where the hell are all the computers. (there's actually one, but I'm not telling where that one is, as that one sends me these video feeds... still haven't worked out another method of sending them without having some HAM station guy be able to track it.)

I think you underestimate the power of the PyTom

I'm feeling kind of lonely on the west coast here :|
(edit: oh, nvm - musical74 is just in the next town over :D I didn't see because our little icons were right on top of each other.)
