Re: RenPy Group on DeviantArt
Chizurinomi's dA account has been deactivated... this is a shame. The dA group has a lot of potential for community connectivity, and I'd hate to see it fall apart because of lack of leadership (PyTom's not much of a dAer, it seems).
Is anyone else going to try to become a group administrator to help keep it alive? :(

Re: RenPy Group on DeviantArt
Whoa, that sucks. Is that that widespread hacking going around? (Who's doing that btw? Butthurt people about how easy it is to deactivate accounts?)
I agree that it had a lot of potential, especially for game marketing.

Wow, that was very shortlived. Didn't even have time to join :S
It'd be a great place for marketing and such. Well, if anyone is going to try and lead it again... I'll be keeping an eye on it

Re: RenPy Group on DeviantArt
I have apparently been given founder access. It someone wants to take over the group, let me know and I'll delegate. (I don't want to become too involved in the day-to-day management, though.)

I don't mind taking over for now. At this point in time, I don't think there's going to be a huge amount of daily work needed.

Re: RenPy Group on DeviantArt
Can't she just make a new account? Or is it, like, an IP deactivation? Oh, or would she just be hacked again? O_O

Re: RenPy Group on DeviantArt
Her account was deactivated using her profile, so she (or someone using her account) clicked the "deactivate this account" button. So she could start a new one with a different username if there was any "hacking" involved.
Observation: her LSF account is also "inactive due to a profile change".
I find it hard to believe that anyone would have two accounts hacked within a week of creating, especially on a more obscure forum like LSF (no offense, of course). My immediate assumption is that she got bored with her project.
However, the LSF admins, if they were so inclined, could examine her most recent IP connection for her login on *this* forum to determine if she logged in to change her account details. If her most recent login is from a very different IP address, then that would offer considerable insight to the nature of the loss of her account.
Of course, all of this is off-topic. I think that sake-bento would be a good representative for the dA group. In fact, I had a hunch that she would be one of the first to rise to the opportunity. Here's hoping for a long and productive life for Ren'Py's presence on dA.

Re: RenPy Group on DeviantArt
If she changed her email address, you get that message right? If she was hacked, then it was probably through her email, so she'd probably want to change email address right away. I didn't even realize that about her profile here, though. Good catch. Odd behavior. But no, there is a rash of hacking going on in dA so I really don't believe she quit herself.

Re: RenPy Group on DeviantArt
I'm sure she'll be back once she works things out. It doesn't look like anyone else has accessed her account, but I can only see the IPs of her posts. PyTom or Lemma can probably have a better look. If she still wishes to admin the dA group, that would be lovely and fantastic. If someone else is needed, I'm willing to take it up.

Re: RenPy Group on DeviantArt
I think I gave sake the full set of permissions. It looks like DA groups can only have one founder at a time, but I'm pretty sure I've given co-founders the power.

Re: RenPy Group on DeviantArt
I changed membership to automatic approval, so if you want to join, join away. I also changed Faves to automatic approval, so feel free to add anything Ren'py related. Things in the gallery are still subject to approval. Please read the folder descriptions before submitting.
Anyone who has a dA group that makes games using Ren'py is welcome to affiliate.
Edit: I added some affiliates today. If I didn't add you, please add us. I've only added the dA groups that I know about. D:
Sorry for everyone watching us right now. There's going to be a bit of a devwatch flood while I try to populate the gallery. Again, if I don't add something by you, please feel free to submit it yourself. I don't know about very many things on dA.

Oh neat! <3 I just started a group for my VN-driven project a few days ago, I am all over this~
Notions: First Movement - a J-channel game
A simple love story that began with a suicide note.
(an old early version of a much bigger WIP - stay tuned!)

Re: RenPy Group on DeviantArt
I submitted something to the group and it's been saying it's awaiting approval for over two days now ... Did I do it wrong? It only had "featured" in the drop down box but I wanted to submit to Game Demos.

Re: RenPy Group on DeviantArt
Edit: So it turns out co-founders can't approve things for the Featured folder. o.o I changed the settings so that you can submit to the appropriate folder, and I can approve you then. I also went through the backlog of submissions and added the submissions from before that hadn't been approved. We should be good to go, now.
