Okay, I need an opinion!!
I was very unhappy with Lucan's sprite so I'm redoing it (5th time OTL). It isn't done yet but do you like this one:
or prefer the old one:
Hopefully the new is an improvement... if not.. screw him, I'll just use the old one XD

Now I'm debating if I should redo all of the characters.. sigh...!

The new one looks better -- less stringy hair. There is no need to individually separate each strand of hair

& the new Lucan does not have the same feel as the rest of the cast. They are both great looking in my opinion. Therefore, I would be find with either style as his Lucan. However, the more I look at the new Lucan, the more I'm falling in loveee XD His appearance looks a lot... smoother. The colors blend much better together.

I guess that means it would be better to redo the sprites, eh?

If you want them all to sorta have the same kinda artistic style, then, yes, unless you intend to have different artistic styles to represent eac person...

I definitely like the new sprite more. I think his face is more expressive than in the older one and I think it has more personality. I also agree that his hair looks better. I think the two lines on the new one's neck look a bit odd, though. Apart from that, I think it's an improvement!

I agree with Gryphbear on the hair but I think I prefer the old Lucan's eyes rather than the new one's. I don't know why but maybe because it is darker?

I really like the new sprite! the old one looked a little wimpy!
But this one looks cool. The coloring style looks better.

I like the new one better, too! The hair isn't as stringy (as others have said), the clothing seems to have a bit more detail... and his expression!

He looks like he's on the verge of a really sweet, really huge smile~ It's awesome!~

...But as it is a new style, you may want to consider redrawing the rest of the cast and whatever other art you did already to keep consistency, and that can awfully time consuming D: And sometimes it's better to just spend that time finishing the game and save your newfound improvement for the next project
