As always, I am rolling forward with yet another plan for a game. Will this one yield results? Will it be another flop? Will it be another piece of crud like Luka was? Well, stay tuned and find out. The studio is going all in this year, so you all might have something to look forward to from the Chief Editor at the end of the month. I can't wait to see who's gonna be pushing themselves with me this year. 8)

Until then...

I'm 1/3 of the way through the novel I'm adapting. I'm having fun deleting great swaths of description and tightening up the dialog.

I'll still have to go back and write alternate scenes for player choices.

The Polymorphic team now has an outline done for our Entry, Mobile Food Madness.

What will that entail?

I say this: Wile E Coyote had it good... Very good indeed.
I'm going to get off my soap-box now, and let you get back to your day.

Rock Robin, School and SW&RR take priority, but I may or may not be getting something small done for this.

If I do it will take place in the same world as SW&RR but be based around the story of Rapunzel. I wouldn't get my hopes up, but I will try to get it done :D I had put aside the fairytale of Rapunzel for NaNoRenO a while ago so it'd be awesome to do so.

Good luck to everyone!

Too bad there isn't an official sign up sheet or something somewhere... that's just what I'll need to get motivated. LOL. I know what you're saying "If you need an official sign up sheet to get motivated then maybe you shouldn't do it." Especially since it's the 3rd right now.

Those were great tips on how to keep it short. The VN I had in mind had 5-6 sprites and only a few bgs but now that I think about it, that may be too many. Time to start trimming!

I'm definitely doing IntRenAiMo, at least.

For those of you wondering how much work it'll be, it's basically as much work as you want it to be.

4LS released pxt as a joke after about five days. It's made entirely of free resources, including the writing itself. On the other hand, I'm fairly certain that there are a couple games still in progress that were meant to be NaNo games several years ago.

I'm cheering for everyone, and I look forward to seeing what we make. ^_^

Perhaps we should make an "official" NaNoRenO 2011 thread? Just like the previous years? Who's interested in making one?

I'd love to enter. Saddly I don't have a team and the chances to find one are pretty low.

Anyways, good luck to whoever participates.

I'm in the same boat as you Kael, unfortunately :(
While I do have a few ideas for VNs storywise, and writing is never a problem for me, I wouldn't be able to make one on my own since I'm unable to make sprites and other VN art. Wish I could be part of NaNoRenO though~
Good luck to everyone participating!! :)

Yay for day 3!

"The House the Bled Paint" is underway.
I've gone through 75% of the novel. So far I've ripped it down by 23,000 words. Great pieces are being left on the cutting room floor.

I still have to go through and decide where decision points will be, then write the new scenes to fill out those plot lines.

Even if you guys aren't artists, you can still participate, you know. :) I'm working individually, and it's actually progressing much better than I expected.

There are plenty of free resources for sprites and character art, and you can always use photographs for backgrounds. Or if you're feeling brave, you can try drawing them yourself. That's what I'm doing, and I'm not an artist in the least...but practicing is the only way to improve. Use stick figures if you have to, and worry about finding an artist to redo the art properly after NaNo is over.

I don't mean to pressure you or anything. I just hope this isn't the only thing holding you back, because there are alternatives. Having a self-made individual project under your belt will probably make you more reliable in the future if you work with a team.
