(I... I was joking about the 'dissing' Twilight remark. I've never read the books.)

Xenofiction is absolutely my favourite. As fun as writing everything with the standard human responses is, it's really great to get to indulge and write kemonomimi (or any creature, really,) who actually act like their base animals.

What Measure is a Non-Human is another given since I gravitate toward sci-fi more often than not.

Nakama and Red Oni, Blue Oni are probably the ones I gravitate towards the most, though. I'm a real sucker for the friends-becoming-family progression in stories.

Not that I like this cliche, but how people complain how unrealistic a hating couple that married (or at least fall in love at each other) afterwards... it happens pretty often in real life too.

I hate "proud to be a geek" in both fiction and real life. The people who flaunt their geekdom would make me look bad if I were to be honest about my geekdom. Ass-crazy, over-the-top anime conventions make it uncool to like anime.

The crowd I hang out with is "people with no souls who think about nothing but winning a Nobel Prize". If I "came out of the closet" as a geek, I'd be out before a single TR.

I dislike the over the top geekdom in real life and fiction. I like to be a bit more reserved than that, but the trouble with being a walking encyclopedia is that talking about nerdy things is all I know. I find it hard to talk about geek things in large groups. I save that for more private social gatherings. I was the kid who talked about the differences in social behavior between species of ants...

Anyways, back on topic. I really don't have a favorite trope. I enjoy busting trope more than anything. I really like tragic heroes and antiheros, but I usually write them in a way that is not like the usual tropes. I don't know how to answer this really, I usually stay away from tropes.

Usually not following a certain trope will end as a new trope. So if someone tries to subverted a trope... well, it became another trope. So I guess, staying away from tropes is useless? That's just me, though.

I love Badass Princess and Lady of War. XD I like the image of strong females, and somehow, I don't like the image of weak girls. Well, weak girls is alright as long as they got brain and is able to do something instead of sitting around and waiting to be rescued by someone. That'll make girls... look stupid somehow.

And I like Perfectly Arranged Marriage too XD And I don't know the trope's name, but something like the main heroine ended with the villain. Sometimes villains are cool. Sometimes.

Crud,I glanced at TV Troops, well I'll try not to over do them,

Hm I definatly enjoy the whole opposites attract thing, honestly 99% of fictional shippings I support have that going somewhere.Even better if there's slap, slap, kiss, and Belligerent Sexual Tension, and some Aww the really like each other.

Honestly I usually hate the childhood friends couple,it always seemed to irritate me.I guess it was because I felt half the story was already there, but there are cases where I whole heartedly suppost it such as, Winry and Edward from Full Metal Alchemist.

As for characters themselves-
Jerk with a Heart of Gold
Noble Demon
Tall,Dark and Snarky
Guy Tsundere(depending on how they're done)
Badass In Distress
Action Girl
Badass or Rebelious Princess(well depending on what she rebels against)

For a story,show or such, I like
Earn your Happy Ending, (makes it feel much more rewarding)
Nakama
Breaking the fourth wall.
lampshade hanging

I'm sure there bunch more, but that's all I can currently think of.

My little two cents,it seems with troops what makes them good or bad is how their done.Maybe that's part of why their fun,I think it would be impossible to not have at least one troop in something.
