2 Free Sprites for 3 people (each) [FILLED]

I saw AppendageChild doing this, and I thought it was a great idea.

It's summer vacation, I'm >already< bored, and I need to get out of my drawing rut.
Which is part of the reason why I haven't worked on anything the past few days...

For three people interested, I can draw a maximum of two sprites with six expressions each. You choose which ones.

Please provide a profile of your characters; age, height, personality, etc. it would be nice if you linked your story too.
If you have a concept sketch of your character, even better.
I don't know how long it will take me to finish them; so please be patient.

Sorry, I won't draw for hentai, BxB or GxG stories. Please don't jump on me for this; these are my personal beliefs, and I'm not trying to hate on anyone. I love you all, and I respect your beliefs, so please respect mine.

Right, so. I'd like these in a semi-realistic manga style, as you had an example of above.

Pilot:

Male in his late teens. Feel free to give him the bishie treatment! Wavy dark hair cut short in a military haircut, out of his eyes, athletic. Bright blue eyes. Wearing a skintight pressurized jumpsuit in grey and blue with some armored plating and the insignia of Earth with wings instead of that chevron. Possibly a helmet under his arm. Possibly a little short. Two silver bars as a rank pin on his shoulder.

Mission Control:

Catgirl, with feline facial structure and tiger markings. Tall, graceful, sleek, slightly curvy. In a looser uniform with a sari in silver and blue. Has a headset through which she can speak to her pilot and is manipulating a holographic computer display, including a touch-screen holo keyboard. Also has an Earth/Wings insignia on her shoulder, and a silver bar rank pin.

Going to request neutral and the five basic expressions: Anger, Disgust, Joy, Sadness, Shock/Fear.

Oh my! :O <3 This looks really nice! I'm having a few personality-related/life issues with my current artist and I think that she might back down from drawing the sprites for my story. >.<

I would need a total of 7 though, so how much would you charge me for the next 5 if your drawings would fit well with the feel of the story? xDD

In all honesty, I've never done a commission before.
Since it'll be my first time, I'll start small.
How does $5 each sprite sound?

I caught this in time to snag a slot, but I decided against it. I'd want more than 2 sprites from you, so I do encourage you to build a portfolio and get comfortable with commissions, because you'll have business. Of course, with paid art, timing is a bit more important so gauge yourself to see if you work at a decent speed or not.

Also, $5 for a fully colored sprite with 6 expressions is too cheap. I'd recommend $10 as a base for that deal, and don't forget to specify how much of the character you will draw (waist-up, thigh-up, etc) and in what style (sketch, inked, inked+colored) for different prices.

Perhaps, but probably not at these prices. Like I said, I'm just starting out, so I wanted to start relatively small.
Most artists I've looked at charge 15-35 per sprite, but I'm a noob with sprite-making, so I won't charge much.
EDIT: If you have something you'd like me to do, pm me and maybe we can work something out. ^_^

EDIT2: The reason I put at so cheap was because I am so very new to sprite-making. This would be to get my feet wet, but if I do get more commissions, it would be more as I get better, but for these first few people, I can afford $5 sprites.

I like your blue and grey uniform, though I think it might look a little flat. Here's how it looks with some gold trim.

When I say 'catgirl' with the other, understand that they're an alien race with feline biology and facial structure - she has a human face! Otherwise it's a very good start, and the uniform is about perfect.
