Have you ever considered wearing "Necomimi©"?

I would wear them all the time! I already get stared at quite often (wearing strange clothes, or just because my hair is BRIGHT RED [dyed] and I'm SUPER pale). I also sing classical music when walking down the street at night. So... yeah. I'd like them to be a little less robotic-looking and maybe have more motions... maybe low and pointing backwards when angry? But it's only a prototype, so there's hope. The only thing, I better start saving up money...

Oh Miyoyan, I totally envy you! I used to go out dressed insanely weird but I've lost all confidence now. All I wear nao is jeans and tees. T___T

The people who think I am 'weird' haven't thought about what is the 'norm' yet. When I notice someone staring I just smile at them and they usually smile back. Once I was wearing an electric blue wig at a park (helping out a friend with some photography work, it was a cheap wig but I liked it) and sitting on a bench (waiting for my friend to finish taking some photos). Lots of people walked by, an old couple smiled at me and I remember a woman telling her child "hey, look! That nice girl has blue hair!". They came over and I played with the kid for a while. It was fun!
I like to stand out because of my appearance (I'm used to it, too, since I'm... really... pale...), especially when it freaks people out. Why? Because I then smile at them or just ask them the time and I know that maybe, just maybe, they'll revise that notion of 'NORMal' (=known & safe, while abnormal=unknown & dangerous) they have.
My only fear would be someone stealing the nekomimi!
So, long story short: don't let anyone let you down. You've only got one life, and you get to see it only through your own eyes. Don't hurt anyone, don't let anyone hurt you, but while keeping that, DO WHATEVER THE H*LL YOU WANT! Only one life to live and all that~ *walks away whistling with her hands in her pockets*

ah... nekomimi, I remember I dressed my 10-12 years old cousin (forgot) with nekomimi, that was adorable X3

My friend, bought once Nekomimi set : tail, ears and paws. I was walking in this whole day at school, most of the people where looking with 'WTF' look on their faces, but most were neutral and some even took pictures ;3 haha
The best part is, that half of the Teachers haven't even noticed that there is a cat on their lesson :3

That's funny, my sister went to Japan last year and bought cat paws gloves, but said she couldn't find the tail nor the ears.
I guess when it comes to this, you have to go to "special shops" XD

I used to wear cat ears to class all the time in high school. My teachers didn't even seem to notice past day one. Heck, my classmates were so used to my weirdness that I could meow in class and there would be absolutely no reaction at all

Reminds me of a time I briefly wore a leaf ninja headband.
Not because I cared about Naruto...but because it was practically the calling sign of an anime fan in my high school, so it was a good way to find other anime fans. : )

If they made this as some sort of nekomimi with bluetooth phone functions that could light up, alternate between colours, play sounds then yeah.

Interestingly enough, following on from what PyTom mentioned, there was another product that was a keychain that reacted when you got near to someone else who had the same keychain - not sure on how much information you could put on those but they were there to help increase 'social interactions' between strangers.

Now if you add that function to the previous functions I mentioned above...
