Do I need to spell it out? Update!
Lint wrote:The game contains 6,006 screens of dialogue.
These screens contain a total of 68,114 words,
for an average of 11.3 words per screen.
The game contains 41 menus.
The game now has five more endings. That may sound like a big deal, but actualy, it only had two endings before, and both of them were really bad ones. Now it gets slightly better. Ending 3 is another bad endings, the other endings are the first ones where the Supervisor's situation is actually resolved. But why are there four of them? And why are eight more endings coming?

Yup, you counted correctly. This game is going to have fifteen endings. A few endings are variations of others, but the last eight endings (the ones I need to write now) are going to be entirely original, and each of them is going to reveal another aspect of the story. So to understand everything about Bluetide, you're going to have to reach all of them.

Oh, and I lied. There aren't going to be fifteen endings.

There are going to be sixteen endings.

Another update...
Lint wrote:The game contains 6,627 screens of dialogue.

for an average of 11.4 words per screen.
The game contains 43 menus.
And why am I updating this? Quite simply: This completes Hinami's Path! You can now play the game and complete one of the four routes to a good ending, in that case, the good ending of our beloved little airhead. You're going to love it... and you're going to love the next few weeks even more as I reveal some snippets of our all-new OST, more artwork, and a few surprises I won't spoil now even if you pull out my toenails and feed them to me!

Stay tuned!

ONE MORE MONTH! ONE MORE MONTH

Here's the current state of the project:
Lint wrote:The game contains 7,145 screens of dialogue.
These screens contain a total of 82,270 words,
for an average of 11.5 words per screen.
The game contains 46 menus.
This is the game with the second path completed. Now, our mysterious and intriguing Sachiko has her full set of endings!

Over the course of the next few weeks, expect to see some samples of the final game, teaser images and maybe even one or two of the pieces of music that Mihel is composing for us. It's going to be a great time for all of you, I promise!

Stay tuned!

Another week, another update!
Lint wrote:The game contains 7,729 screens of dialogue.
These screens contain a total of 89,341 words,
for an average of 11.6 words per screen.
The game contains 48 menus.
Woo-hoo! Almost 90,000 words of dialogue, and only one more ending (and one bonus ending) to go! Am I good, or what?

Even though I pretty much knew how I wanted each path to end, it was much more difficult to actually write them than I thought. There were so many possible pitfalls, such a huge backstory, so many situations in which I could have made mistakes regarding the internal logic of the plot. So far, I think I may have avoided most of them (if it's all of them is a question I need to leave to the beta testers).

Still nothing new to show you so far, I'm afraid, but I'm confident our artist and composer will soon provide a few more tidbits. In the meantime, stay tuned, and if you feel like giving the team some encouragement (especially mangakaluna; she carries the most workload with all the pictures she has to draw), don't hesitate to drop us your comments here!

Thanks for your encouragement - we're all working really hard to make sure the game is an enjoyable experience. I hope for plenty of replay value with the four different characters and the many attainable endings, though two of the paths will be rather tricky to find. (But that's not uncommon for VNs; some girls are harder to get than others...)

I'll try to show you a little of the game's additional artwork in the next few days; DaFool has created some designs for the robots, and I think you may find them interesting.

Sounds like a challenge for CaptchArt: "expecting dakka".

Do you mean this kind of dakka?

I am of the opinion that it still needs more dakka. You can never have too much dakka.
