Yes, the second one avoids crowding both the text box and the filigree at the bottom : )

I actually prefer if all of them are on the left side, but maybe that's kinda impossible considering the dialog box's design .. well, the second one is already good enough though ^^

So yeah...

Something you guys might be interested in

Third post down is the list of seiyuu (japanese voice actors) I'd choose for Maid of Midsummer. XD

... If it were possible for me to pick, that is. XD

That's a fun looking dream cast. Well, of the actors I recognize ; ) Do you have any intention of putting English voices in the game, since Japanese is out?

I think that'd be a little ambitious for my first game. XD But I'll see what can be done in future games.

HAHA. I just like Gabriel a tad more. Although I'd have expected Seth to have Koyasu's voice.
Now I can imagine the characters voice and that's good for me *g*

I kinda actually like the first one. But I think it matters more whether if the long sentences will run into the buttons and look cluttered.

Hey guys! Sorry about the lack of news, I've been super busy with work and finals, but now that exams are over, I'm back to working on the project.

Also, I need some help from you guys again. :)

I've been slowly coming up with the scenes for work and overtime with the various characters, nothing final yet. What I'd like is to get as much input as possible on the layouts. Below are the two screens for possibilities I have in mind.

I was wondering, would you guys rather that the large side sprites be omitted as per the top screenshot, or would they rather I keep them as per the bottom screenshot? It's totally up to you guys, again I'll go with the majority and will take suggestions for edits into mind.

Any input on the "chibi scenes" in particular would also be welcome! That said, these are not the final images, and the graphics are still a WIP!

Thanks bunches again! *hugs and chocolate kisses*

I think having the sprites AND the chibis on the screen at the same time is a little redundant. The chibis are adorable and should stand alone. :3

oh, it says on the front page positions for beta-testers and proofreaders are open? if they still are, I wouldn't mind being either one you wish to have more of. this game looks super awesome, I can't wait! :D

I second Camille. Just the chibis themselves are fine. Also, why is she doing paperwork? Aren't maids only responsible for doing household chores?

Added you on as a proofreader. Welcome to the team! ^^

This was mentioned before previously, but to put it short, the main character can choose to help other characters outside of her regular working hours. Not historically accurate as far as maid's work goes, I realize, but if it's a VN, I think I'm allowed to take liberties. :)
