Okay, the special ending is behind me. Although basically, I just clicked some cards, without actually knowing what I do ^_^. I'l have to get into the game once the full is out. This luck thing won't last forever.
Okay, so, my question now is... why not include nudity? I mean... just talking about boobs, getting laid, and panty wearing... you kind of expect more from the game - wouldn't it be more appropriate to let them strip and make it a properly ecchi title? No one will expect hardcore scenes, but since this is strip hanafuda... the question why they shouldn't be naked is kind of there.
Anyway, yes, that's the best response, if others don't do it, you have to do it yourself.PyTom wrote:I wouldn't expect this particular ending to be in the final game. But Lemma has promised that the final game will have similar levels of ecchiness. In fact, he has repeatedly bemoaned the general lack of ecchiness around here.

Who said they wouldn't be? When it comes to nudity/sex, I want to try to have the scenes be as natural as possible. By that I mean "does this seem reasonable?" There are a lot of H games out there that have all sorts of weird sex scenes thrown in and it's like "WHAT?! That doesn't make sense!" I want to have the nudity and sex come mostly from after you've achieved a level of intimacy with a character. That's where most of it happens, right? And I think it's sweet ^_^; Of course, naughty little things like strip hanafuda are fun, too, and they can make for humorous situations (of which I try to include many)mikey wrote:Okay, so, my question now is... why not include nudity? I didn't want to have Lemma get totally naked, though, because it's not in her character, and she might have some all-ages games to promote later
That's an interesting point. I try to make the way the characters talk generally realistic. (At least what I see as realistic.) The characters, being a college crowd, use a bit more vulgarity than other people in general. Maki and Gaji are the two who will engage in such manners of speaking, though. Ichigo, Lin, and Lemma are pretty different in the types of things they'll talk about. I like having the different types of characters because it creates nice relationship dynamics. They can play off each other. I can see, though, that with Gaji playing a prominent role in the demo, the game could seem overpowered by his vulgar/perverted ways... ^_^;mikey wrote:Drawbacks... well, I have only found one if you'd like to hear it. It's the way the people talk, which is very vulgar. It's for this reason that I didn't feel any true attachment to any of the girls, because they were talking (about them) like that.
Lemma will have her own special omake sectiondenzil wrote: I hope Lemma will be in finished version too.
Thanks for the comments, everyone! Keep 'em coming, onegai ^_^

Denzil -> Now you got me imagining things LOL
Err... I mean.. Nice ending heh mikey? HAha....ha...ha...
Thinkign about it... Blue Lemma might decide to make The strip parts only has final ending or things like that since... after all this is a VN.
Still the final call will be for Blue lemma so we'll have to wait till Fall hopefully..

Well I kinda agree with Denzil there.... teh age description says 17+ wich normally is related to teh same content as ecchi - Mild nudity and sexual content but nothing hardcore or porn like. Of course we can count some Hentai Fans going "THIS SUCKXORZ! NO PRON IN IT!!" but that's to be expected :s *sighs* Even with that we should expect people to have teh decency to consider the game for what it is and the content of it.. having ecchi or not.mikey wrote:Okay, so, my question now is... why not include nudity? I really loved it! Hanafuda is very fun, and I'm interested in playing more.
I like the fact you can right click and see the entire picture, that's one of my favorite features of VN games. The programming was well thought out, and I enjoy having choices and omake.
*also signs the more Lemma petition*

You really need to be able to skip the card animations to go faster, and it would be a vast help to have the values of the cards you can take. I realize part of the skill of the game is memorizing the cards and all, but for n00bs it would be better to just scaffhold it, and then take away the scoresheet after the first few rounds.
Cool, though.
Cool, though.
Wow... I didn't think I'd like the ecchi aspect but um... o^^o;... Lemma-chaaaan X3. *also signs petition*. Maki is cool too :3
I'm not sure about the more "adult" discussions and such... Let's say that it just shouldn't be more vulgar than it is now, or it'll just be too much. Right now it just takes some getting used to it, but then it's alright I guess. It's just the mood of the game .
Also, when playing against two people (or even just 1 on 1), I realized I didn't always know who was playing which card. Is there any way to have the current player highlighted when cards fly around? ^^;
In any case, I'll be waiting for this new game eagerly ^^. I hope the story parts will be just as fun and more in-depth

So technically we would never get that kind of secret ending so soon in the full game uh ? Because I don't see a girl you've just met agreeing to such a thing ^^;... Even after a looong time, unless she's Maki maybe XD.. The only reason Lemma seemed to accept is because she made a promise, and she likes to keep her word doesn't she ? ^^
About the card game : so far I don't think I have a good feel for it. I mean I understand how it works but I haven't grasped how to become good at it. Seems a bit random to me.Also, when playing against two people (or even just 1 on 1), I realized I didn't always know who was playing which card. Well, the card-game bit's certainly pretty fun!
The thing to remember with such games is that there are certain cards, or combinations of cards, which are worth so much more than most cards that it's often worth giving away a few points here and there in order to prepare yourself for getting the big points later... and worth taking a small points hit to prevent your opponents getting hold of big points. Thus, pay attention to the 20-point cards, and Yakus, and you can more or less ignore the 5-point hits unless you have nothing better to do.
Some general guidelines:
- If you notice an opponent has two of the three cards to make a Yaku, and you have the option of taking the third, take it even if it's not the highest-scoring card you could pick up. If you have a choice between two cards and one of them makes a Yaku with even one of your opponents' cards, take that one.
- If you need a particular card and you have it in your hand - be it a card for a yaku or a 20-point card - then remember each suit only has four cards and exploit that. If two cards from that suit have gone already, and you have two in your hand, you can more or less safely lay one of them and pick it up next turn with the other. If you have three, it's probably worth laying the one you want the least first, because if another player has the fourth card from that suit they might well snatch up a good card before you can get to it. Leave it there 'til it goes then you're safe to lay and pick up the two from that suit you want.
- You can't plan for the Gaji card, so don't try to. However, if you depserately want a particular card - say it's 20 points, or you have two for that kayu already - don't leave it laying around on the table until the Gaji card has already been played.
- Always prefer cards your opponents might be able to pick up to cards that you know only you can pick up.
(Speaking of art - I spent the whole game thinking "I recognise this art style, I've seen stuff by this artist before" - I was still totally suprised to see it was Magi, who I only know from CA prior to this. This crazy internet-connected world is a small one after all! )
So do most card games until you get used to them, and obviously it's certainly plausible with this one that you could get defeated by bad luck even if you're an extraodinarily good player. It seems a little Rummy-esque, and I'm a big Canasta fan, so... while I wouldn't say the game just clicked for me, some simple tactics suggested themselves pretty quickly.monele wrote:About the card game : so far I don't think I have a good feel for it. Mmm, I had trouble with that, too... perhaps grey out the portraits of the players who aren't 'up', or give them a border or something? I'd be tempted myself to have a little isometrically-displayed card table in the mostly-unused space centre-top, with little figures around it who are either leaning back or forward at any one time, but it's obviously more art and more effort...monele wrote:Also, when playing against two people (or even just 1 on 1), I realized I didn't always know who was playing which card. Yeah, sorry, I probably could have been more explicit. I'll usually call myself 'Sar', but I managed embarrassingly to register here with a dead email address so I had to try again...
Anyway - one of the reasons I was a little surprised was 'cause the pieces in Hanafuda Club are a bit more... well, clean and finished, I guess, than the stuff I remember seeing on CA; them's some good character graphics!

I am DEFINTELY missing something here...
The character bios, based on the *story*, all seem very realistic and believable. Gaji is great as comic refief. HOWEVER...I'm very much missing how to get the special ending. In trying to play the game normally I can't seem to do much expect play the game - clicking on the faces does zilch, and Gaji's nowhere to be found when playing it...I'll ask all the questions in the story side and it just explains everything. The special ending is eluding me...do I need to do a YAKU! too?
Miko: Great to see you again! Staying out of the forests?

A friend is one that walks in when the world walks out.
I hope Blue doesn't mind me telling ^^;...
For the secret ending : (but at least *try* to get it from the rather big hint from the game)
hint #1 :
For the secret ending : (but at least *try* to get it from the rather big hint from the game)
hint #1 :
It has nothing to do with playing the card game. It's in the story mode
hint #2 : You're supposed to be interested in girls and girls *only*
hint #3 : Why not ask ecchi questions and not talk about anything else but girls ?
