The Rape of the Lock

The Rape of the Lock

Based on Alexander Pope's classic mock-heroic poem, a non-commercial kinetic novel that explores the petty squabbles of the Beau-monde through comparison to the world of Greek epics and the divine. Set in early Georgian England, young Belinda is an innocent and virginal nymph guarded constantly by her Sylphs. However, one day after playing cards with the Baron she finds her beauty and honor at stake, subject to his 'glitt'ring forfex'...

"What dire Offence from am'rous Causes springs,
What mighty Contests rise from trivial Things,
I sing -- This Verse to C---, Muse! is due;
This, ev'n Belinda may vouchsafe to view:
Slight is the Subject, but not so the Praise,
If She inspire, and He approve my Lays.
Say what strange Motive, Goddess! cou'd compel
A well-bred Lord t'assault a gentle Belle?
Oh say what stranger Cause, yet unexplor'd,
Cou'd make a gentle Belle reject a Lord?
And dwells such Rage in softest Bosoms then?
And lodge such daring Souls in Little Men?"

Yay! I'm happy this was finally released! Although, I have a request, if I may. Could you perhaps upload the game onto an other site besides megaupload? I've had very bad expreninces with that site in the past ( a few virus/trojan scares...) so I would be much happier if it was uploaded to say, mediafire, or even the ren'ai archive. I know its sort of a selfish request
( hopefully I'm not the only one who cares about this...) but I would really love to play this game.

Nice use of artwork, even better use of music for the dramatic effect. XD Great kinetic novel~

Thank you very much for the info!
I was impressed by your work so far but did not look deep enough to write you. So I am looking forward to your game!

You are releasing a lot now! You must have worked on all games at the same time. That's interesting!
Would you say that this working style has some advantages?

All the best to you!

Thankyou :) I'm not sure it's the best working style. Generally it involved me putting one project on the backburner and focusing on the other. If I have a moment of inspiration for a game, I try to get the groundwork done first and if it still interests me, I come back to it. I had less to do for this work however since the poem was already written and surelyyoujest handled the artwork. Apart from that, I had basic programming to do so it was something I came to when I ran out of steam on other projects.

...Can I request for a download file in somewhere I can download, other than megaupload? :'[ I can no longer browse that website... I really want to play after reading the short info, and the concept arts.
I'm very sorry for the trouble.
