Critique please? (Characters of Imitation Heart)

Hi there. I've posted this picture in the Skills Development section because I want to get some feedback on it. This is a character design of the Main Character of my VN Imitation Heart: Ayaka Fuji. For now it is just her head, but I will finish the rest of her body. It's slow going because I have to scan each picture and re-color them on GIMP or Paint.NET or something like that... Eventually I will have body pics for all the characters posted. Please let me know what you think.

I know my shading is a little shoddy, but I'll try to improve it. I don't really like the shape of the eyes, so I might change that too...

Unless she's supposed to be a ghost, there is no color to her skin at all. You used cast shadows okay, but you have no lighting. You need to pick a light source and adjust your shading to it, the hair is just pillow shaded from the top. Also, her eyes need more color and her hand look like it's hacked off above the wrist.

Thanks for the input. I am re-doing the character now. Hopefully the clothes will look better this time.
