Re: Morhighan's art/music updates
For sprites, don't be afraid to use more than just three/four colors. Since you're working with something so small, heavy contrast and shade variation is kind of necessary to make details stand out. I generally tend to use five to six shades for each color unless working with something under 50 x 50 pixels.
Also, I don't recommend outlining your sprites with black. You should probably either outline them with the darkest used shade of the color the outline is next to, or not have and outline at all. Though, usually the latter works better when spriting something a bit more realistic, and not something anime style like you're making.
I do rather like the blinking animation in the newest one, and the shading in the hair looks great, aside from it's need for at least one more darker color for the lower part.

I'd have to agree with mysertialize. When use use one shade of grey for the jacket, lots of little details get easily passed over, and although the blood draws attention (with the bright colour) it really makes everything else seem boring. Also the use of one colour too much, like white, makes the whole thing blob together and doesn't give the picture as much depth if you used a more miked skin tone. Good job improving though, there are noticable results!

Re: Morhighan's art/music updates
I'm going to assume the above illustration is just a general artwork rather than something that's intended to be included in a game.
Mostly because it is instantly recognizable as a scene from Animamundi.

Your assumption is right. Alas, if only I could color like Animamundi in the program I created that image in.

Ah, yes.
The artwork and coloring style for Animamundi are just so unreasonably pretty.

Re: Morhighan's art updates
Quick art update!
I finally got photoshop, so I'm trying it out. So far I'm really enjoying the lines I can make with it. I'm still working on coloring, though.
