The thing about this picture is that you've used coloured lineart for some bits, then just plain black for her coat and the guy, which IMO does cause the picture to look a bit strange.
But, like droopy said, using coloured lineart is fine. I often use it and it doesn't look to bad
And in that before/after picutre , you can really see how you've improved!
Hey that's pretty good! the colors are more vivid with this one.
If you are having trouble with hair or something have you tried googling up pictures of hair? that could help you get a more of an idea of what hair is suppose to look like and how many highlights there are, etc... something like this has alot of high lights and various colors so maybe things like that might be helpful?
but just keep at it repitition = succession! try looking up photographs if you have trouble, they'll help you greatly.
