Re: Graduation
in your country, u don't usually pay taxes for import unless the item alone cost more than 50$. At least that's what happen with anime figures ... game might be different ..LVUER wrote:The game itself is pretty cheap, but the shipping fee is expensive (costs more or even doubles than the game itself)... not to mention the import taxes (T__T)

The item PLUS shipping fee. And it's freakin' expensive to deliver things from US...

Re: Graduation
from what i heard, if the item cost more than 50$, the tax is calculated from both the item cost and shipping fee. But if the item cost less than 50$ than it's free tax (49$ item cost + 30$ shipping fee = free tax).
that's what i heard .. I can be wrong off course ...

Re: Graduation
Please take the time to capitalize sentences, and spell out short words like "u". I know you usually do this, but when you don't, it sets a bad example for others - writing textspeak like that is bad for the forum, since it says that posters value their time over that of their readers.HikkiPanda wrote:in your country, u don't usually pay taxes for import unless the item alone cost more than 50$. Re: Graduation
Shipping fee and import tax vary from county to country. My country (Indonesia) is very far from US (well, US is almost exactly on the opposite side of Earth from my country) so the shipping cost is expensive.
Sadly, my country seems doesn't have clear law about .... well, everything... Custom law is different each city and in my city, the most clear custom law is when it's below $50, free tax. The problem is when it's over $50, which most of the time, it will (I don't think you all will be happy to buy $20 thing with shipping fee of another $20).
The thing is they include the shipping fee into account, so let say you buy something for $1 and have it shipped with fee of $60 (totaling $61), you will still get taxed. And depending on what you buy, the tax law will be different. BTW, the custom law I talk about here is for buying toys and figurine ONLY.
More over, this game have 16+ age rating which is troublesome... And it's a PC software too... It's not funny if I get called over to court because I try to "smuggle" porn into the country.
Anyway, even though the software only cost about $2.00, the expensive shipping fee and the complicated matters surrounding it prevents me from buying it. If only it's a downloadable content...

Re: Graduation
yeah, downloadable content will definitely solve the problem entirely XD.
OOT a bit: LVUER, do you collect trading figures/strap/keychain?
I kinda love this game and I wanted to make something like this with updated graphics etc for a side project since the gameplay is pretty simple, but I wonder if people will play it ... since the recent thread in Creator Discussion about stat raising game says that many people has problem with the genre (and if I want to make a GOOD stat raising game I have to add tons of features which will not make it simple anymore x__X).

Re: Graduation
Hmmmm... what is the difference between trading figure and (just plain) figure?
Anyway I mostly collect Figma,Nendoroids, and Revoltech figures. I have some from Bandai (when they're on discounts). I only collect moe and mecha figures
I once bought a PSP UMD though; Black Rock Shooter the Game, just because I really want the limited Figma White Rock Shooter figure that bundled with it.
