LOL ...

A 33 year old woman is not a girl.

For some reason, I'm sensing the fact that the poster may not be female at all ...
I'm not even the same person anymore

Normally, we'd just delete this is as spam. But I didn't get exactly how this post was trying to spam me... so I left it.

It looks like a canned script from a bot to me. Notice that this "Natalya" person refers to "the forum", but not anything about her specific interests or why she posted on this particular forum. If she had said even one line about games, anime, J-stuff or visual novels, I would have accepted it as human, but this message is so generic ("penpals"?) that it could easily be duplicated for any forum.

Also compare the location (UK) of the user and her standard of English. Plus, there are half a dozen free dating sites available. A simple Google search showed those up. This message would then probably fall under the "pointless" part of Stupid Pointless Annoying Messages. ;) :P

EDIT: I can't believe I actually typed two whole paragraphs about this. >.<

I don't know, living in the UK myself I can think of several people with similarly poor language skills... ;-)

Seriously, though, I'd have deleted it already. My best guess is it maybe collects email address from anyone foolish enough to email the address given?

Before bot script begin their flooding, I suggest to enhance the register section with some question like "write the answer of this question" (usually 1+1). This should repel most of them for a while.

Well, I just went ahead and installed a better CAPTCHA for the site. So hopefully, that will get rid of most of them for a while. And if not, I have some knobs I can turn up on the CAPTCHA.

Sadly, this would repel some real users, too :P

(Then again, would that be such a loss in this case? )

For what it's worth, you can see the new CAPTCHA at http://lemmasoft.renai.us/forums/freecap/freecap.php . And maybe one day Lemma will tell the group what words he got the first time he tried it. ;-)
