Welcome, Ziassan! We always need more composers. I'm sorry about the deadline, it's too bad we would lose out on another writer. But we are happy to have you on board.

Just as a note, we need programmers who are proficient at making minigames of varying types. If you can do this, please sign up!

Actually, I can write too, and may have some characters to contribute. Might be a fun way to test out some character ideas or have a different take on a character than in my own works.

Probably best to send me a PM reminding me of shit though, especially if there's deadlines. I'll try and get Skype set up again soon. Backlogged with stuff at the moment though, but working my way through it.

(if anyone's interested in what I've been doing lately as a composer - http://monsquazcollective.bandcamp.com/ )

Okay okay, so I'll say it as asked : it seems that we have a song theme menu. Yay.

Composed it for nothing (I mean, for me) some times ago, and it seems that everyone on Skype agreed that it was fitting the idea, electronic ambiance, stuck in TV, etc.
Will make a "improved" version of it, and give the choice into this one or the improved.
If you're unhappy with it, beat the Viking who initially pointed it out.

It's voting time again! Our own illustrious illustrator Reikun has completed work on the male MC design, now going by the tentative name of "Kyle Hawk." Now we need to select a personality for him. The following is a list of the personalities I have come up with. PM me the title of the version you like so I can take a vote. All the 'quotes' are examples, not set-in-stone dialogue. They are simply there to offer an example of what to expect with a character of that variety.

Bear in mind that the male MC's personality poll is completely separate from the future, not yet put together female MC personality poll.

Quote A is the character's response to initially being sucked in to the TV.
Quote B is the character's response to freeing characters from modules.
Quote C is the character's response to facing off against the Hagasaurus.

Cheerful
A: Huh. Where do you suppose we are?
B: You survived! That's a relief. Did you get a Gabi Lei tear, by any chance?
C: I hate to do this, but you have to be stopped!

Grouchy
A: Great. It's bad enough you made me watch that asinine chick flick, but now this?!
B: It's about time you idiots got your asses out of that damn show. Now give me the tear.
C: I can't wait to rip you limb from limb, you old <explicit>!

Smartass
A: Whoa. Echo! (echo echo echo!) Love the acoustics in here.
B: You solved that murder mystery by yourself?! This coming from the man with Velcro tennis shoes?!
C: Alright, lady. Prepare for a botox beatdown!

Direct
A: Where are we?
B: Good, you've escaped. If you pass me the tear, we'll be one step closer to escaping.
C: You're the final obstacle. Last chance to step aside and let us pass.

Heroic (Direct)
A: If we're here...there could be others.
B: I'm glad to see that you made it out of there. I was about to go in to get you.
C: We're not going to tolerate this imprisonment any longer, lady. Prepare yourself!

Heroic (Cheesy)
A: It's time for heroism!
B: Well, I was about to save you, but I see that even the common folk can survive without my aid.
C: Halt, villain! Or we shall cut you and your injustices down where you stand!

Clueless
A: Um...is this part of the movie?
B: Yikes! Where did you come from?! Were you...in there?
C: Eugh! I see time wasn't kind to some of the prisoners...what? She's the enemy?! At HER age?!

Apathetic
A: Hm. Interesting, I suppose.
B: Oh. You escaped. I suppose you have one of those...tear things?
C: *sigh* Can we please get this over with? Everyone...kill her or something.

PM me your votes, or post alternate suggestions in this thread (in the same format as above). Thanks.

Smartass. I would do Heroic (cheesy), but I've got plenty of that for my taste already.

(I love how you said to PM the votes but everyone just posted their preferences here xD)

I personally would go for Direct or Grouchy (but more of a well-meaning grouchy??) That's just how I see his face and his eyes and stuff.

On another note: Will the the male/female MCs only ever appear in the animated cut-scenes or do you need sprites for them? :C

Sprites shall be needed as well, though mostly for use near the end.

About the music.
My work curve is logarythmic, in short a good enough song (but slightly simple) can be performed in a short time.
I think I can make something like 30 "simple" tracks in one evening with enough motivation. Or 15 with a little more customization.

So how many tracks would be needed / how many active composers have we ?

It would be really good if writers could notify their need in music, like "My story need, I think, 1 sad song, 1 stressful song, 2 actions songs, but no romantic and myster songs" etc.

It may be best to wait until the writing is complete, if for no other reason than the final story has been fully written, and is less likely to dramatically change and have different requirements.
