For those who want to try another editor to jEdit, I have managed to get PyScripter to function.
It is quite a capable editor with some great configuration setups for other python programs within inside the program.
I have gotten Renpy to load PyScripter and to save files. Also PyScripter to load Renpy. You may have to set up Renpy in PyScripter.
Please note I haven't done any editing or writing any code at this stage. Please let me know how you get on. I am in process of trying one or two editors out.
