It appears we have common likes; I rate my series on a 10-grade scale, with ten being genius level:

10/10 – Cowboy Bebop
10/10 – Eureka Seven
10/10 – Mushishi
10/10 – 5cm Per Second (along with most of Shinkai's works; I highly recommend this)

I can elaborate on any of them, but I feel masterpieces should just be watched – not explained.
The list of 9 => goes on for a while, so I'll spare you the mediocrity and leave you with my best ;)

"Figure 17"

It has twin lolis as the main protagonists and lots of tentacles. If you love heartwarming stories then this one is perfect for you :D

YuruYuri... I've got to watch it again some time... (They're coming out with another season! Eeeep!)
I love the moe and the romantic tension, and when I watch it, I feel like Chitose...

Death Note and Cowboy Bebop are always my favorites :D

I love True Tears (up to episode 9) and adore Studio Ghibli. Also, I'm surprised to admit that Madoka is becoming a favorite of mine. I just bought the two bluray volumes and really enjoyed what I've seen so far. Magical girl animes are usually a huge turn off for me, but:

I don't watch anime, and my husband actually hates it, but he watched and bought the Tri-Gun collection, exclaiming it was worth it.

That's pretty hard. D: I have a lot of great anime I've watched. Some are:

*Pandora Hearts
*Kuroshitsuji
*Mawaru Penguindrum
*Junjou Romantica
*Sekai Ichi no Hatsukoi
*Inu x Boku SS
*Skip Beat!
*Ouran High School Host Club
*Vampire Knight
*Black Cat
*Angel Beats!

I'm currently watching Puella Magi Madoka Magica and Umineko no Naku Koro Ni. I like them a lot so far, but haven't gotten time to watch much of either.

How is Slayers not on anyone's list? Funny, epic, fantasy, with lots of explosions. Definitely in my all time fav list. Also, FMA Brotherhood.

This was actually easy for me.
Death Note - is my all time favorite. Hands down. It makes eating potato chips intense.
And I can, with little doubt, call it the best anime. At least in my opinion.

But I do have a short list of close seconds:

Samurai X - has it all, action, drama, romance and great art and story. A very close second for me
Cowboy Bebop - again, this anime has it all: action, drama, and if not exactly romance it definitely has some UST. And it is just pure awesome.
Studio Ghibli - Ghibli has some of the best stories. The only exception for me is Ponyo....Ponyo kind of freaked me
Vampire Hunter D - the 2nd anime I ever watched, for nostalgia purposes this will always make my list, Akira was my first but that was just *Wtf?!*

Mouryou no Hako - I do not think it has much known in America. It is simply beautiful with a complex and macabre plot. Reminiscent of Lovecraft.
Ghost Hunt - Scary and funny with my favorite female character ever: Mai Taniyama. The house in "The Bloodstained Labyrinth" arc was horrifiying
The Girl Who Leapt Through Time - I love time travel!
Inu x Boku SS - One of the funniest shows I have seen since Ouran.
Ouran High School Host Club - One of the funniest show I have seen.

Probably Cardcaptor Sakura. (Well, it was Cardcaptors back when I first watched it on TV, but I've seen the subbed version too since then). I like stories with magic in...

I guess my Avatar says more than a thousand words but for those who don't know it, it's called Steins;Gate based on the Visual Novel from Nitroplus and 5pb.

Will remain my personal favourite, possibly forever.Only one that can replace it would be if Deardrops gets animated.
