A LRR/Tokimemo-esque menu plan thing.
I'm planning to make a stat-raising game... and I have no idea whatsoever on how to start. I was planning to have the interface somewhat similar to Lucky Rabbit Reflex! (or as similar as I could get with my basic Photoshop skills), where there's just this big pretty menu that you can choose from instead of the weekly planning of The Flower Shop. I do not know how to get out of the VN format and make said menu. XD Also, can someone point me to a descriptive tutorial about the point sytem? A moment of looking through the Ren'Py tutorial answered that, whoops.
I just really need to find out how to make the click-able image like menu thing to work. XD That is all, thank you~

Is this the kind of thing you're looking for?
Imagemaps lets you set the menu's whole apppearance and define hotspots, which say where the clickable spaces (buttons) are located. To describe the hotspots, you need to know the x (upper-left corner), y (upper-left corner), width, and height of each button to basically tell the game where it is on the image.
Hope I helped. If you were looking for something else, try describing it more clearly and I might be able to provide better assistance. ^^
