Friendship, Fantasy, Stat-raising...-ish
I didn't want to post it here until i made a good amount of progress. I believe the time is now ahahahaha

The Story;
Zane Legacy lost everything, including his memories, when he was only ten years old, But with the help and support of his best friend, Joshua Miller, He managed to live a decent even happy life.
One day the two of them agree, its about time they leave their old home in Orikon Village, and start over, in a big city. There's only one problem: Starting over costs money. Money that they don't have . What's a pair of lazy, jobless guys to do? Get a job? pfft NO! Treasure hunting of coarse!
and it looks like the odds are in their favor, because on this fated day, Zane comes across what looks like an expensive antique necklace.

a magical antique necklace that somehow restores a part of his memories.
and if things aren't already difficult enough. the next day, Zane meets the Elemental Spirit of fire, who begs him to help her find the rest of the Elemental Spirits. and in return, she promises him fame and fortune, Zane agrees, and he sets off to find the rest of the Spirits, and perhaps learn the truth about his past

But will it really be that simple?

I'm a bit curious on the stat-raising bit: how important will it be to the story?

extremely

certain stats are required for certain endings.
Having low stats would be an automatic game over in some parts
(they dont count as "endings" though, because we dont honestly need a million "death endings" P:),

but its not gonna be like, Princess maker or Tokimeki memorial stat raising where you pick something to raise every week and it gets boring and repetitive.

I'm going for a more visual novel style where picking a certain choice raises or decreases a stat

Story sounds kinda interesting, and I like how bright and cheerful your colors are. :v And the idea of choosing certain choices = change in stats is cool. Yeaah, the stat raising thing in Tokimeki Memorial was really boring. I just spammed through the entire thing.
There are a few grammatical errors/spelling errors that I can see, so, if you haven't thought about it yet, get a proofreader once you're done writing everything! c:

I noticed all the grammar errors. but i dont really feel like fixing it right now though xD.
I'm trying to keep all that jhdsakd out of the script though so its not gonna be as terribly written...at least i hope not ;n;

but yeah, once i make more progress im definately gonna start recruiting. at least for a proofreader and a programmer xD

I'm loving the art style, especially those last two sprites.
Two remarks:
-Vira doesn't appear to have eyebrows?
-I think Eileen's eyes are a bit too close apart? idk she looks a bit derpy.

And I'm glad the stat-raising isn't like Tokimeko.

About Vira's picture. thats her old artwork, i didn't finish it yet just for the character bio portraits because it matched my current art style *enough*

Really liking your art - it looks so crisp and has a distinctive flair, plus I love those shiny eyes. And the logo is sooo pretty. Are you going to be drawing your own backgrounds as well? The 3D-render (?) background you have in the shop screenshot looks very different from the character art, though I'd understand if you don't have the time to do all the backgrounds yourself.

Haha, I like how the two main characters are both listed as "lazy" and "sarcastic." There's definitely a diverse mix of personalities here - it will be interesting to see everybody's interactions together.

You know, I'm not sure if I would label this game as "stat-raising" at the beginning, to be honest. At least, I associate stat-raising with picking activities to raise Charm, Intelligence, etc. like in Tokimeki Memorial, so I wonder if other people will also get the wrong initial impression.

i decided to give all the main characters a second outfit, I also tried out a new style for the sprites I think I like this better

nina is basically my guinea pig for new art techniques lol : p
