I think it looks good. ^_^
Mine aren't fabulous or anything, I'm still learning how to use photoshop.

@chocojax Yeah the nose looks much better! The one you linked you can really tell the difference xD before it looked like a baby face but with super strong features! Now it looks MANLY.

@AshenhartKrie It's a good start! When doing the hair try to keep the colors at least in one strand. Try that hair tutorial that Tetiel linked earlier! I haven't got to use them yet but they looked like really good tutorials.

@ashenhartkrie: Umm, you may not want to play around with dodge when you're still a beginner~. I suggest only working with a mixtuer of hard and soft brushes when shading and whatnot. Keep experimenting! C:

@oddly otter: Loool, good! Now I just gotta do this from the very beginning, rather than taking an entire day to fix it. :'D
(Also, if you don't mind, a comment/critique on your artwork from earlier:
GJ on the abs, I can't draw those at all, lool. I'm also too shy to draw them.
The armpit area looks a little bit strange, looks like it's a bump but also going inwards into the pectoral muscles! I haven't studied far into that yet, so I can't try to redline it for you.)

Thanks! Honestly that was more of a muscle testing for myself. Seeing how well I was able to draw them. I usually don't draw too many shirtless pictures o.o I was pretty impressed with myself. Now I say that but then again I don't like drawing clothes much either cause i'm bad at folds haha. My skills are a work in progress. You can always learn more so you should never stop trying to! I appreciate critique on my art work! It helps me learn ^_^ So thank you muches!

@oddly otter: You're welcome! I should do some muscle testing for myself too, loool.
Folds are kinda easy when you try to think of them as little hills and stuff. :v
Yeaah! It's nice to think of art that way, because you'll never reach the end of it and keep learning, I guess?? :v!!

And, here's something that I drew and then edited for my friend. I drew squigglies for the ear because I was too lazy to look at real ears. Again, any critique would be appreciated. :v

(The second one is Kanon from Umineko, btw. lool)

The burn and dodge tools are more suited towards photo editing, not for making artwork. I'd stay away from them unless you're touching up a photo background or something. :)

@chocojax: The only thing that bothers me is the choppy shading on the face. It's a bit distracting. Maybe it would be good to put the cross hatching lines closer to each other, or to tone it down a bit. The anatomy looks pretty good though!

@Nuxill: Oh, really? I've never used it, so. x:
Just curious, when do people use burn/dodge tools on photos?

And, I tend to do that a lot because I'm going too fast. ): Tone it down, as in use it less or make the color less dark?
( Did some editing with a mouse, do you mean this area or the cheekbone area?? x: )
And thank you. :v

A speedpaint to test out MyPaint. I might think about working on this style so that I can use it - it's so fast and so much fun.
(And it would look natural with the backgrounds.)
I love the pencil brush in this program. <3
However, this is just some silly test. xD

The only thing I really don't like about MyPaint is that it doesn't do PSDs. >8C

@Choco: I've a lot of interesting songs on my ipod.

Next up may be Smile! No One Cares How You Feel, because I'm amused by how dark that song is, even though it's really short.

Naww, thank you all. :>
The style really is fun, so I'll probably work on it.
I actually dislike MyPaint - but the brushes are so beautiful. D,:
(Maybe it's just because I'm new to it. But it still has a long way to go, concerning the interface.)

Edit: Still testing things out.

Why did I use this bright orange as base tone for her skin?
I guess if I start naming my layers I'll be fine - I hope.
(And yes - I'm way to lazy to draw eyes. /shot Plus this allows me to colour some extra hair. <3)

Ryoko: Both of your drawings look really amazing ;) I love your style it's kinda airy(?)
Both of their faces are a bit small though. The mouth and eyes are big, so if the face itself is so small it looks a bit weird. (more so on the 2. pic than on the 1. one.)
It is only when you stop looking for nowhere that you find that such a place exists. It hides within a small stitch in time between here and there, a grain of sand trapped within eternity, forever suspended within that moment of existence.
