How to get scrolling text? (solved)

My question is just...how do you get text to scroll across the page? Like, one character at a time?

I have already found out that I have to change the value of 0 to any other number in order to get scrolling text:

Code: Select all

config.default_text_cps = 0

But I do that, and when I launch the game, the text isn't scrolling. Am I missing something?

Try deleting the persistent file from your saves folder.

I am having the same problem and I don't know where the "saves" folder is.

You should be able to "Delete Persistent" from the Ren'py launcher, right? Tiranoua, did this fix the problem?

I have no idea, but when I restarted RenPy and tried again it worked.
