Problems with Ren'Py Engine

I have downladed the games I wish to play and the engine, neither of them work though.
I have a Mac OS X 10.3.9

Could you elaborate a little? Are any messages produced... especially in the Console application?

Though I don't know how it works on Mac, were the directories preserved when you extracted it? Did you read the release information on the website regarding Mac versions?
