As far as I got in the demo, I must say I really liked it! : D

The story was really getting interesting XD (Y'know, before the demo ended), and it really kept me playing ^u^ The art was really well done too, I must say. >u<

The fullscreen is causing my computer to crash, but I can't get far enough into the game to change it. Would it be possible to make it windowed on startup? I've looked some things up on it, but editing the shortcut doesn't work for me. :\

Do you have time to press "Alt + Enter" or does it crash before that? Also what's your operating system and driver?

You could open the game and immediately switch the application by selecting another open program. If your computer is busy, sometimes the game will collapse to window mode.

Also, are you getting an actual error message?

^^ just press Alt + Enter together from your keyboard to toggle windowed/ full screen. Btw the demo is also crash/ freeze? too on my PC. I wonder if it doesn't support 64 bit.

Oh no! I guess you could try running it and staying in windowed mode. Can you send me your dxdiag?

hmm... i'm using win 7 64 bit
and as far the bug i get (freeze, no error message, i just can't move the cursor and i don't have another way beside force shut down using task manager to close it) is when i:
1. alt+enter to change it to windowed mode
2. click "continue" but then no file there since i don't have save file yet, then i tried to click one of the file1 or file 2 since i can't find "back" button.

or

1.alt+enter to change it to windowed mode
2.new game>> proceed until i need to choose volume (max etc)>> suddenly black screen and cursor displayed, but i can't move it (the cursor), and yeah, same, what can i do is just force shut down it using the task manager.

ah, when i force shut down the demo, i got error message "rgss player is not responding"

Okay. Can you do me a favor and try running the game in XP mode? This should be unnecessary, but it just might work:

Go to the file location where you installed the game (probably)

C:
Program Files
Host Holic

Right click on "game.exe".
Go to properties
Compatibility
Run this game in windows XP compatibility mode

I think this might help you. If it doesn't, make sure that your DEP settings are on "Opt in". Also, make sure that you log-in as "Administrator" when you install the game.

DEP is probably the issue then. Amanda has this pretty well documented on her site:

However! Maybe you just need to uninstall and reinstall the file. Some people have had issues with corrputed downloads, so it could just be that. If not:

If your operating system is Vista or newer, you may have DEP enabled. DEP will cause your game not to run. To turn off DEP, complete these steps:
1. Click Start > Control Panel > System
2. Click the Advanced tab
3. In the Performance region select Settings
4. Click the Data Execute tab
5. Mark "Turn on DEP for all programs and services except for those I select"
6. Click Add.
7. Browse and select the EXE for your game.
For example: C:\Program Files\Host Holic\Game.exe
8. Click Open > Apply > OK
9. Restart your computer.

LOL! Thanks for your support. No, there isn't a shota option. I guess if a ton of people request, I could try and add something like that, but I don't think it would be very popular.

For everyone that's following this post, I just wanted to let everyone know that I have an upgrade available, but there's no patch, so you would need to download the whole thing.

Basically, there was a save game bug that I fixed. There were also a few minor issues in a few of the endings, but I fixed them so now I have version 1.1! This will be the gold version for us, but we will continue to support the game and provide upgrades if people find any more bugs.

We also added a TrialPay option. Basically, you can buy something that you would have bought anyway in order to get the game for free.

I'm such a bad person T__T.
I haven't started the demo for this yet, since I had to get my computer fixed.
But with me being stuck in the house all day for the hurricane, I think I'll be able to try it out now!

LOL! Yeah, I was wondering if the hurricane would hurt my downloads or increase them. On one hand, everyone has to stay inside, on the other hand, those people may not have power...
