What does your dream house looks like?

#1 Post by Lumella »

I've been surfing lately to interior design websites, and I can't help imagining thinking how should my dream house should look like.

If you were given the choice to pick a house for free, what should your dream house look like? What specific features do you wish for it to have?

As for me, I've always wanted to have a house with an indoor tennis court within the lot. It's totally fine if I have a smaller livable space for my house, as long as it has a main bedroom, a guest room, an office for myself, and the rest of the features a basic house should have. All the bedrooms and office should be soundproofed for... *cough*privacy*cough* and free from interruption. OH OH! A secret room or secret hallway too. :>

It feels like being part of a mystery detective novel of some sort.

So what's your dream house like?

White House xD
Well , I like a high class house with classical funishment. A big garden with maze and full of dandelion and. Sunflower. A place for me to draw , a room for my art , a room for digital stuff , an entertain room where I put my laptop , psp , game , etc . A place for mangas and books . And a place for clothes . Or design room.

a big enough house so I could fit my parents in one room while my my siblings and I occupy 5 other rooms. A huge kitchen for my mum complete with a centre island, beautiful marble counters and a big 6 space gas stove, enough parking space for more than 5 cars at a time, a big living room with floor cushions everywhere, a dining room or 2 to fit our growing family...and the home should be far away from the city area.

What can I say...I'm a total family nut even though they drive me crazy.

Ooooh~! Sunflowers <3 I also want those in my house. If only they would grow in such a tropical climate as my country o_o. Having a game room is awesome! Better yet, soundproofed so whenever your friends are over, it wouldn't be so chaotic in the rest of the household if they start screaming. xD

That sounds like a lovely house <3 I particularly like the idea of having a place away from a very crowdy place like the city. Sometimes a breeze of fresh air from a different area can be very relaxing. c:

I all ready have plans for my house. If I had a ton of money to spend, I'd buy a large plot of land and build myself a castle. Like Victorian royal palace style. I sketched it out in a notebook one time, but that's always been the kind of house I've wanted.

I'd actually have enough room for my seventy-three cats.

I'm with you Aedin, victorian houses and castles have such beautiful architecture! I'm a fairy tale nut, always have been. I want secret passages and round room in a tower and beautiful murals on the walls and a mountain view. I also want all the modern amenities too, I love technology. There's a lot of things I would love to have in a dream house that don't mesh well together like a grandiose outside with an efficient and clever inside and so my dream house became a dream village somewhere along the way.

When I was much younger I thought that it would be cool to live in a submarine.

Nowadays, I think it'll be interesting to live in an apartment block. As in, the entire block. I'll re-purpose several floors as swimming pools (floor to floor, with canal locks ) and hydroponic farms.

We're talking about dreams, aren't we?

Well, failing that, I think a very small and multipurpose room would suffice.

A spaceship capable of interstellar travel, obviously. Accept no substitutes!

(If you're talking about a real house, then a mansion with a hidden batcave, a la Bruce Wayne).

Wow, I'm sure that feels cool to be in. Imagine all the water lowering the temperature. That would very nice on a summery day.
