I'd like to say thank you to everyone, for everything you've posted here. Special thanks go to Deji and Sapphi for the images - I really appreciate the work you put into those beautiful CGs.

And in a larger sense, thanks to the entire community, and everyone who creates and plays VNs. I don't think it's much of a stretch to say that Ren'Py has been downloaded millions of times at this point. Very few of those come from renpy.org - it's everyone who creates things that makes it worthwhile.

Also, thanks to everyone for not mentioning the large fraction of the forum that is half my age.

I know my game is just an erotic comedy, but I'm getting an email every other day from different guys thanking me for making a game they can relate to, and that makes the difficult coming out process seem a little easier. (Trust me, I'm about as stunned as anybody can be about this.)

Getting these emails is probably one of the most rewarding things I've ever had happen to me. This would not have possible without your engine.

Your engine has also brought a lot of interesting and cool people together. There are some absolutely awesome people on this board and I consider them friends. That in itself is priceless.

All these things happened because you were generous with your time, knowledge, and skills. You dropped a pebble into a pond and you're affecting people's lives in ways you would have never guessed. Happy birthday Tom! May every year for you be better than the last.
