Probably "Requirements Document" is the right word.

That's the term for game development. It's the gameplay mechanics, the overview of the backstory, and all the other things. Basically, the design doc should in theory be self-sufficient, so that if any given studio gets it without knowing anything, they will be able to make the game the way it was envisioned, based on that documentation. And actually, it happens, now more than ever things are outsorced like this.

No robots, but the game is a pure copy of SRT in terms of gameplay and concept.
You know, this rather makes me itch to see a Super Renai Wars. :D

On a more serious tone, judging by how popular SRW series is, there might be a program made by the japanese for such sort of games.

Dang, I will kill for Super Touhou Wars. :D

Oh yea, after a little search here and there:

Simulation RPG Construction

SRW SDK

True, both are non-isometric SRW makers(Follows the old flat map system). And SDK is more of a flash game(Quite slow if you asked me).

If anything, if only there is some folks who will translate SRC....

EDIT: An isometric one. But I haven't tested it

I'm gonna suggest rpgmaker 2000 since I believe it's doable if you can program a simple custom battle engine. Of course, you'd probably have to make a custom map with all the switches, triggers and variables for every single battle action like attack, defend etc, and set the hp/mp/sp to respond accordingly to attacks and healing etc of every single fighting unit.
How do you make your games? I see. Thank you for the prompt replies, but it is my considered opinion that you're doing it wrong inefficiently because I am a perfushenal professional. Do it my way this way and we can all ascend VN Nirvana together while allowing me to stroke my ego you will improve much faster. Also, please don't forget to thank me for this constructive critique or I will cry and bore you to death respond appropriately with a tl;dr rant discourse of epic adequately lengthy proportions. - Sarcasm Veiled in Euphemism: Secrets of Forum Civility by lordcloudx (Coming soon to an online ebook near you.)

Mrrr... I wish someday I'll have the knowledge to make a *good* free engine for these kind of games ^^;...
