Still doing daily sketches to practice drawing. Looking at references for each one, trying to include some sort of pose every time... I think the next one, I'm going to focus on hands more. How can something I use and see so often be so incredibly complex to draw?!

Maybe I'll draw someone angry or something. I don't think I've drawn angry people much, I always draw smiles. Unintentionally, I gravitate to smiles.

I think my anatomy is slowly improving, but still tends to be off. This girl's probably end up in my game as one of the side characters. (I hope Barbie doll nudeness is okay here? Otherwise, apologies and please delete.)

The biggest issue with the pose is the hand on her hip. The way you drew them makes them seem long and disjointed.
Also I think she could use just a tiny bit more ribcage in the back. The shoulder seems a little out of place because of it.
I love her hair though. Any idea on what color it's going to be?

@Obscura: The anatomy's definitely getting somewhere, there. Her right arm still looks off, mostly at her wrist and shoulder, though. The shoulder sticks out just barely a bit too much, and the hand looks like it's getting very close to the pose on this one: http://watermarked.cutcaster.com/902015 ... Tattoo.jpg , but bends at the fingers, as if hitting an angle. Moving the pointer finger down and erasing the finger lines where they begin to meet the arm would very nearly fix it on its own, with that said. I'm loving her torso and her left hand.

Thanks so much for the critique and suggestions. I changed it according to your comments...please let me know if it still looks weird to you. & hmm....I'm not sure what color hair she's going to have...probably black or dark brown.

Well, here's my first post in this thread.

In early 2012 I drew for fun at iScribble.net, a multiplayer drawing board similar to FlockDraw except that their stuff look more like oekaki. I was a collaborationist and I liked to assemble kiddies together and attempt to copy a scenic photo or wallpaper--yeah we're cheaters. I did one third of the work for this one. Don't go looking for my small gallery 'cause it sucks, though the preview icons look decent...

Oh man, I forgot to complain about something at the rage thread, relating to my lack of ability to emulate the color mixing effect outside of iScribble. If you look at the edges of the hazes near the middle, you can see that a ton of transparent "circles" were painted down as a brush. The awesome thing about the "auto circle" tool is that it acts like an auto-area-color-picker for every circle and spams a lotta circles.

Fun fact: when you save the image, its icon will appear two-toned, desaturated pink and cyan (tested on Windows, TN monitor).

All I can spot right off the bat at being even slightly wrong is the alignment of the nose/lips in comparison to the eyes. seems like it could use a bit of a rotation, but other then that, really good job imo
