Thank you for the positive feedback

Re: Artist for hire: Sprites, CGs, Backgrounds
I want to chime in and say I commissioned a background from Badriel and had a good experience. He listened to what I was asking for and asked questions when needed. Turnaround was pretty quick. I loved his backgrounds here and I was not disappointed with how mine turned out. Thanks!

Gorgeous. I'm curious about a couple of things.
I'll presume that you may have used a 3D image as a reference, just because the angles are flawless.
If so, did you create the 3D reference, or was it supplied by the commissioner?

I'm interested to know that too. If you created it, what did you use?TrickWithAKnife wrote:I'll presume that you may have used a 3D image as a reference, just because the angles are flawless.

I make 3d models first and then draw over then.TrickWithAKnife wrote:Gorgeous. I'm curious about a couple of things.

Bumping this guy for super-fast delivery speed. Badriel's almost faster at delivering the final product than I am at ordering it. And I'm very satisfied with the quality.
Really, give him work to do! You won't be disappointed!

I'm curious, have you ever tried dynamic backgrounds? Light shining through a window, curtains rustling a little, clouds moving, etc?

It's funny that you ask, because I am experimenting with them right now in Knifepoint Horror. Segment IV will have animated backgrounds. I'm currently trying to estimate how much more time it takes to make an animated background.TrickWithAKnife wrote:I'm curious, have you ever tried dynamic backgrounds? I've also been experimenting on animated CGs, and the first results you can see in the 10 second intro for Segment III. I've already made some tests towards making anime-style animations, like a camera driving through a street, or a panorama of a town. Maybe even something more complex, like a full-blown intros, or CG sequences. However, without animated characters at the moment.
