How long does it take to upload a game onto this forum?

Hi, I'm trying to upload my game (as an attachment) onto my post on this forum. The file is 233.4 MB and it's taking forever... Is it supposed to take this long? How long should it take approximately?

Rather than attaching the game to a post, it's probably better if you upload it somewhere else and then link to it in a post. Perhaps use Mediafire or Ge.tt?

(also this topic probably needs to be moved since it's not exactly a question about Ren'Py)

is there a limit in mediafire? there's a paid version and a free version...

Uploading a game this large will take a lot of time anyway. Please notice that this forum has a hard limit of 200MB per file.

Oh that makes sense... no wonder why i could never upload it... anyway, i'm gonna fix a few bugs first and upload a new version on mediafire. thanks guys!

You can also try 4shared. They limit a 250MB their and it's very fast.

I don't think you should attach your game in a post here. You can upload your game to renai.us. Talk to PyTom for this. Or you can upload games to various hosting sites out there. My favorite is Mediafire. There's also some members here that offer free hosting services. And I really suggest you split the files into more manageable size, like several of 60-100MB files.

Uploading 200MB file will take very long where ever you upload it. It also depends on how fast your internet connection is. Remember that uploading is much slower than downloading. Don't know why but that's how it works. I still remember when uploading my games. I don't remember the exact size but it's not too big (more than 30MB but definitely less than 200MB). I split it into several files and it takes more than 30 minutes to upload even a single part.
