Release Problem?

#1 Post by warlordluke »

I'm Running on a Linux system and I'm currently developing a Visual Novel with Ren'Py 6.1.1 and I'm having a problem with Releasing it.

1)It Completes LINT all fine and everything.
2)It Builds the Windows version fine
3)But at the begining of the Linux build it stops and the error.txt file pops up saying:

I'm sorry, but an exception occured while executing your Ren'Py
script.

ValueError: file is too large (>8GB)

While executing game script on line 28 of renpy-6.1.1/data/distribute.rpy.
While executing python code on line 331 of renpy-6.1.1/data/distribute.rpy.

Hm... You don't have anything like a sparse file in there, do you? What happes if you just tar up the game yourself?

Which file system under Linux are you using? Ext2, Ext3, something else?
