I dig the style a lot. The perspective in the picture might be out a little--it's hard to say though, something about the castle strikes me as off.

I'd really like to see more though!

Hm... well, the castle is supposed to be strange looking. Is it the hill on the viewer's right that makes it looks "out", or something else?

Character

Another project... I know, I am a bit of a scatterbrain. I am trying to decide which project resonates with me so I can run with it. This is the main character for a different story than the one above.

Like with Asher and the project in the previous post, I am going for an entirely different art style. So far not won over by the vector style or her color scheme. And Illustrator always makes my line work look too polished... but it does make the sprite making process easier.

Ah, well, it's a work in progress.

EDIT: Found this character's old color palette and updated it... the old colors make my memory look really bad considering how off I was. Anyway, this is the rough progress.

And I agree! I love painting, but doing lineart + cell shading seems to make the entire spriting process go by much quicker. Tho I do like blending the two styles together too haha. <3

Thank you! I'm hoping to return to Asher, soon, too. :\ And yeah... I am working on the blending styles thing.

They both look so thoughtful but I feel Child is probably like "Why is the sky blue... Where did my hat go? I'm sorta hungry..." while The Man's the total opposite and all deep x'D

As for the characters... I wasn't sure what I was going for? I don't know.. I was just thinking about the eerie landscape and how the man was unfamiliar with "comforting or sorrow". :)
