No man is an island, entire of itself; every man is a piece of the Continent, a part of the main;

If a clod be washed away by the Sea, Europe is the less, as well as if a promontory were, as well as if a manor of thy friends or of thine owne were;

Any mans death diminishes me, because I am involved with Mankind; And therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls; It tolls for thee.

I'm going with more art and CGs, and also more music from Joe Schwebke.
Reader Beware!

I second this! The artwork on this project is very pretty. Speaking of which, who is GY? I feel like I'm missing something fairly obvious while trying to find the artist x)

Hello Suika. Welcome to the forum. (Nice to see another Touhou fan here! :D)

NOT SAFE FOR WORK. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!!!x3

I can't say some of his artwork are everyone's cup of tea, but what he draws on his own time shouldn't be my business either. It's really not my place to comment, especially due to the explicit nature of his artwork.

However, GY is a very dear friend I've known for many years, and he has been an immense help to this project's success. Without him, When the Bells Toll would've not been possible. On a personal level, he's a really awesome dude!

That said, we will be taking a very different direction with the artwork of Bells than most of his work. Let's just say, the tables have turned, as I'm calling the shots. ;)

When The Bells Toll... even the title catches my attention. :)

The art for the girls is very nice, especially their eyes are super adorable!

I rarely play games with a male protoganist unless I’m sure that the plot’s good and this is one of those games. ^^

Hey guys. It's been awhile since I posted an update, so here's specifically our progress for the demo:

Outline: 100%
Scenario: 100%
Script: 40%
Music: 75%
SFX: 90%
Graphics: 96%
Programming: 95% (Bug fixing...)

In order to speed things up, I am considering hiring an extra composer, though...

Overall, we're close to a demo, but since we expanded to 21,000 words, it will be released mid to late February.

  • Hey all,
    Sorry for not posting in awhile. Since the last time posting, we have formed an amazing collaboration with former composer of Katawa Shoujo, Sebastien Skaf.
    I'm very proud to announce a new direction in our soundtrack.

Furthermore, I'm also pleased to announce that we are taking the story of When the Bells Toll in a completely new direction I am sure readers will love. While this doesn't change any of the concepts or plot we have worked to up until now, it re-interprets them in a way that will provide a much more ambitious reader experience.

While this announcement does come at the news of delaying our demo again, I do hope these changes are as exciting for our followers as they are for our team. Don't get us wrong... We're stirring up some REALLY cool ideas moving forward! ;)

We also updated the first post again...
