For the life of me I can't understand how to place a single ' in a Ren'Py dialog.
Example: "He went to his sister's car."
I've tried every kinda backslashing with no luck. I know this is probably simple and dumb, but I could really use an answer if anyone will please humor me. Also I want to add one to a character name. Is that the same method?
how do you place a single ' ? (Solved)

It is better to be the cub of a live jackal than of a dead lion.

The backslash should be right before the apostrophe.
'"He went to his sister\'s car."'
'"He went to his sister\'s car."'

This works for double quotes too, to note.

I appreciate it Li My biggest problem was that I kept trying to position 2 backslashes for a single ' like you would do for "". It was dumb of me, but I just couldn't find the answer anywhere.Crazy Li wrote:This works for double quotes too, to note.
