Looking for free BG artist, composer and maybe programmer

#1 Post by Haika »

I need someone to draw BGs for me now currently, as I already got someone to draw the sprites.
And I need a composer to do the music background.
I can do programming well, but not much, sometimes I need help and have questions.
Is there anyone that could help me? So we could make the visual novel for fun...?

1. The project's story will be about school life, comedy, friendship. With the cool protagonist, and his struggle in life and subjects. Well, I don't know much what to tell about the overview project.
2. I need a programmer, composer and artist for BGs (very important).
3. There is only the script (writing) for now. They said I can't put many characters, so I decided to change my script later. Change some of my description into dialogue, and some of the unimportant characters dialogue into a description. I will give the sample of the script as soon as possible.
4. I don't have any organization yet, maybe a collaboration would be nice.

I need around 15 characters involved. For now around 6 is the minimum.
I need around 10 expressions and 3 poses.
For backgrounds... for now around 8 is the minimum. I need around 20 maybe, as much as places at school backgrounds. Because it's about school life.
And for music backgrounds, I need them as much as the characters and backgrounds I guess, also situation, I have many suspense in the script.

Have you started on your visual novel at all or is this just a planning phase?

Welcome to the forum. I hope you have fun making your visual novel. :D
I strongly recommend you read the first post of the linked topic, and then edit your post to provide additional details. http://lemmasoft.renai.us/forums/viewto ... 38&t=22143
Some of my visual novels are at http://www.the-new-lagoon.com. They are NSFW
Poorly done hand-drawn art is still poorly done art. Be a Poser (or better yet, use DAZ Studio 3D) - dare to be different.

Umm, I only have the script to go on, because I'm the writer. I don't have any artist, composer or programmer to help me.

Not quite. For cooperations, you should quantify the amount of work needed.

Around 3 chapters. I planned to write until 17 chapters.
Then I tried to find people who can help me make it into visual novel.
If I already find the people, I would finish the novel script faster.

You might want to cut down on the number of characters and poses they all need, I doubt you'll find someone willing to do that much for free.

I'm not sure. I'm just calculating it. Might as well cut the poses down to 3. But I don't think I can cut the characters.
Maybe I will know after I finish the script.

Since this unpaid.... I wouldn't even bother with multiple poses. Just the one. And maybe make it so only -key characters need sprites.
