Re: Looking for an experienced programmer [Paid]
Hmm, I'm really tempted by this. What sort of turnaround time were you looking for?
This sounds like a fun project though, so I'd just like to register my interest.

Re: Looking for an experienced programmer [Paid]
I'd also like to register my interest, assuming i'm not too late ;-;/.
I checked out some of the links you posted and had a go on the demo, and it looks like it'll be a fun game. :3
I'm confident in my programming, but i technically haven't made anything quite like this before, so id like a few days to figure out what's actually involved before id be able to commit to being able to deliver what you want in the timescale provided. lol
As far as i can tell, you're looking something like the battle system in Advance wars, only isometric, right? and with some extra bells and whistles. :p
Though i didn't really understand what you meant by elements, makes me think magic but given the ww2 context... lol

Re: Looking for an experienced programmer [Paid]
I'm in largely the same boat since I'm pretty new at both ren'py and python. I'm confident in my battle systems though, and I think I've learned enough ren'py for this to be pretty straightforward. My worries are just along the lines that:
- Paid position. I'm mostly interested in doing this because it sounds extremely fun, so I don't really have an amount I'd want to charge. Especially because doing something like setting an hourly rate would encourage me to try and keep the amount of time I work on it low to keep things reasonable for the client, when this is the sort of thing I'd normally prefer to tinker with well into the night.
- Kind of juggling half a dozen things at once at the moment. I probably wouldn't be able to work more than a day or two per week on it until June, which might end up cutting things a little fine schedule-wise, which is a concern I'd rather not push on your project.

Re: Looking for an experienced programmer [Paid]
Game looks pretty good, looking forward to the release.
Unfortunately can't really offer my services as I am not much of a python programmer (prefer c++) but definitely looking forward to seeing what you do with this.
