Show off your accomplishments!

#1 Post by fioricca »

So Auro started a little bandwagon about VN accomplishments on Twitter, and now I'm really curious to hear from the rest of the community as well. How long have you been making visual novels? What have you accomplished and what are your thoughts about your VN 'career', looking back at them now?

I consider myself to have officially started on VNs since I was making Dolls, which was... way back in August 2012 or something, I can't remember now. I could go further back and include a dropped fan project from 2011 for that but I wasn't serious about visual novels until Dolls. That means I've been in VNs for about a year and a half now, and projects include:

ORIGINAL RELEASE:
- The Dolls' Stories

COLLABS/COMMISSIONS:
- Left of Center
- Night at the Hospital
- The Buried Moon
- Rising Angels: Reborn

CURRENTLY:
- Lemon Project

So 5 completed and released projects. I also have about 2 dropped (maybe postponed? I'd love to work pick them up again someday...) personal projects from last year. This list is not as impressive as Auro's or other people with like 20+ projects (you know who you are), but I guess they've been around for much longer... I definitely still have a long way to go and I really want to keep pushing forward. I can't believe it's been a year and a half, it feels so short. e_e

Okay guys, let's be proud of what we've managed to accomplish!

I've been working on/for VNs since... uh... 2006? Wow... that's been a lot xD
I started as a colourist and Ero artist for Mystery Parfait's Flight of Twilight (still under development! It's been a long, rocky road :'D ), I started a personal project at the time that never got past demo stage because of the writer vanishing and another one that never got even started, and then i got hired for The Flower Shop, the first VN that was released with my art! :D

ORIGINAL PROJECTS:
  • Autumn's Journey (RELEASED! WOOT!)
  • Swan's Melody (on hold)
  • Caramel Mokaccino (on hold)
  • Astre@ (dropped ): )
COLLAB AND COMMISSIONED PROJECTS - RELEASED
  • The Flower Shop
  • Jisei
  • Ripples: Remix
  • Kansei
  • Winter in Fairbrook
  • Yousei
  • Blue Rose (I was the character colourist! <3 )
COLLAB AND COMMISSIONED PROJECTS - UNDER DEVELOPMENT
  • C14 dating
  • Corona Borealis (on pending list)
  • ???? - BL game (working on CGs on and off)
  • Spirite Hearts 2 (on hold)
  • Every Sunrise (on hold)
  • Flight of Twilight (on hold :'D )
  • The Parasol Festival: Bittersweet Blossom (art completed!)
  • Hope~ (hiatused? art completed afaik)
OTHER WORK FOR VNs
  • The Question (I did the sprite!)
  • Spirited Heart – Girl’s Love (I did some 2ndary character sprites and some ending sketches)
And that's it, I think? I did some sprites and character design for Kako no Koi before being replaced, did sprites for a couple of VNs that never were and some other sprites that were to be sold on a website that never got finished ^^;

And I've done work for 2 non VN games: Evilot and the in-progress Dies Irae: Phantatiom Elements, and I do character designs sometimes for other people, for their books and projects ^^

It's been so much fun these years! I hope I can keep providing art for people and get some more personal projects released :D Releasing Autumn's Journey was a dream for me and I want to be able to do it again >w<

Ok I know I may not have any released projects or projects that i've contributed to but I'd like to say i'm really proud with being able to finally use my skills to make a visual novel created just by me.

For some reason Nanoreno isn't enough motivation for me, but in my art class my final project is making a visual novel!
I learned alot this year and in the past month.
Somehow I was able to find conflicts, and provide intresting backstory aka real plot!

So in three days i've wrote 3,000 words, I've come up with the idea of three romancable heroines and i've drawn all of them so I got the designs right as well . :)

Last week if you would ever say it is possible for me to make a visual let alone dialogue I would of called you a liar.. but everythings coming together.

Today marks a milestone for me: my first choice in my visual novel!

i'm excited because i'm starting to differentiate routes in my story.

School is a good motivator to make this come true huh?
XD

I'll use this post to keep myself updated with accomplishments.
