I tend to feel a bit empty when it's over, but then it's off to look for some good ol' doujinshi.
(Especially if the artist can imitate the anime style.) That can keep me going for about a month afterward. xD

I don't really read fanfics anymore since I'm such a grammar Nazi now when it comes to small things like capitalization and punctuation that I just can't enjoy half the things I read.

I get kinda sad because I usually watch anime with my brothers so I just feel like "what are we gonna do now?" I like spending time with my family so... Well maybe I'm just being weird LOL.

I have a feeling of emptiness and futility XD It's like you get back to the real world after years of...a comma or something...and think 'What is this place? What do I do with my life now?'. Then comes the frantic search on google about the anime. First and utmost important - ANY CHANCE OF A SEQUEL???? Second - was this anime based on a manga and where can I read it? (although many are either not based on one or based on one which is the reason I watched it). Then of course comes the fanart but I never get down to fanfiction because...it really has to impress me if I start reading fanfiction and gets me excited about 'what if this happened instead' (so far only the manga/novel 1/2 Prince done that and Naruto..typical, I know).

I also forgot to mention that after seeing a good anime, I tend to draw a ton of fanart. Also, double for heading straight to the TVTropes entry. :D

Pretty much!

But, well, if it's amazing amazing amazing (you know those shows), then I kind of have too much energy. In that I can't really do much for the first 20 minutes after finishing it. I start grinning really widely and jumping around, and start going 'omg omgomgomg' and start typing out how much I loved it to my friend, usually in fragmented, hyper English with exclamation marks and capital letters everywhere. Until I start just screaming at them in the 'aaaaaaaaa' kind of manner.

After those 20 minutes, I tend to go and horde fanart, find fanfiction, and in the few days to follow, the show is all I can doodle.

Most shows won't get me to that extent though, haha.

I read reviews,
Look for pics, wallpapers,
Then I check if there's a VN/Game with any of the characters,
And I find myself looking for goodies over the internet.

After that, if not calmed, I try to find other anime with the same storyline.

I cry when I finish the anime, and realize that I have to rewatch it. Attack on Titan and Monster are in this category. I really liked those series, and sometimes screamed in excitement when watching them  . When they were over though, I guess I got a little depressed. It's hard to find good anime nowadays, especially ones with good characters and stories.

I don't feel empty, I feel the opposite! A really amazing anime stays with you after you finish watching it and my reaction tends to be one of satisfaction rather than loss. Then, a couple of days later I get withdrawal symptoms and need to get stuck into something new!

I feel excited for one moment but then that "emptiness" Then I go searching for a manga or lightnovel and want to create fan arts but end up laying around with nothing to do.

I write a review on it while I'm still hyper and in denial about all of its flaws.
And then I read reviews on it.
And then I realize the series was a lot more flawed than I was willing to initially realize(d).
And then I cry about how flawed it was.

Do an extensive search for anything similar but rarely do I get another amazing anime.

I can't help weeping while I am watching Nodame Cantabile, I am a bit like Nodame, but happy beginning with sad ending.

Tumblr is your friend. *cough cough*
I go to the fanfiction and start whining to my friends... and doodling the characters and crying on the inside. Usually like: why the heck did I finish it so quickly!!???? OTL (well, I do marathon anime most of the time)

Pretty much this for a few days, followed by an empty feeling.

Most recent anime that did that was Kill la Kill, so friggin good. And Penguindrum before it.
